One thing I will miss about my MR2 turbo when I sell it to get my Zed is the lovely comfy leather/alacantra. I have spent a lifetime trying to like tweed but it just isn't my bag and my ZX unfortunatly doesn't have the leather option so I was just wondering if I would be able to get some decent MR2 seats and put em in the Zed. Does anyone know if other seats will go in? I would just find some leather Zed ones bu the ones I have seen are all in crap condition. Any advice greatfully received. Justin.

Hello all, Could you guys tell me if the drivers door vent is a dummy, ie doesn't blow out air, or do I have some ducting missing on my car!! I've noticed, the door vent ducts to the end of the dash and thats it. There is a duct outlet at the centre tunnel, which blows air out like crazy, so I've got the feeling i'm missing a ducting peice running from this under the steering columb to the end of the dash!! Could be missing as taken out when someone was fitting immobiliser/alarm wiring etc... What do we think?? Paul N,:confused:

went to z world today to get my car checked over and was very impressed with the way i was delt with and the reasonable prices charged by geff. he spent most of the afternoon changing bushes and oil and doing tests on my car etc. he really new what he was talking about and nothing seemed too much trouble for him. he went over my car with a fine tooth comb and carrid out a long list of checks. i would recomend this garage to anyone who needs help with there zed WELL DONE JEFF :D :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance:

T'was 2 degrees this morning at 6.45 am. Started car up, sat there for the usual minute or so and began my shitty journey to work. Two miles down the road, ended up behind a R reg Merc going very slowly, when I was hit with this really strong smell of petrol. Turned the blowers off and as the road straightened up, I gently went round him expecting that he was a smelly ******* and that the fumes would disappear.............................alas! So, pulled over a mile or so down the road and popped the hood. Round the petrol filter area there was a very strong smell of petrol so get the ole' screw driver out of the boot and gave the 5 clips that I could see a half turn…

I have an auto with a jwt ecu and i'm converting into manual.Let's say i change my injectors to 555cc and i need a new ecu, should i request an ecu for an auto or for a manual?

If you replace the stock viscous fan with an aftermarket electric one, do you still keep the auxilary pusher electric fan?

Right from what I inderstand to get 370BHP you need an induction Kit, Exhaust, Boost upgrade and a chip. What PSI do you need to be running? What are the next stages from there on?

Can anyone out there please tell me why I cannot shift from park.Is there a microswitch somewhere on the brake pedal/near the brake pedal that may have gone up the swanny.I can only release the gear leaver by using the little leaver on front of the gear leaver........if you see what I mean!!!!!!!!:o

I've run my na for over 3 years - first owner outside of Japan - and it's never been in a garage. So, it's never been tuned whilst in my ownership. So the question is, how do I know it's running at peak performance? It goes ok, returns good mpg figures - or not if you drive it hard, just passed the emissions test of the MOT with flying colours (thanks Lymon), and I change the filters annually, oil twice a year, plugs twice since I've owned it and that's about it. What do I have to do to make sure that it's performing as it should - without taking it to one of our friendly specialists... ...any thoughts would be appreciated. cheerz Jack

i have heard mixed things about them.. is it good or bad to have a t timer on a 300zx?

I'm getting a new RPS Clutch soon, along with a new rear main seal and a SGP Racing bearing. I was thinking of taking a couple of days off work to have a go myself cos i'd rather not take it to a garage seeing as i've never done a zed clutch and i wan't to see what its like to do. Do i need any special tools at all? Or can a well stocked garage with the usual kind of assortment of tools do? Seeing as i'm not changing the flywheel would i need to get the old one skimmed before i put the new clutch on? Anything else i'm blissfully unaware of:confused: Thanks, Stuart.

Hi all, The part circled is the n/s coupling of the rear steering rack, in the ctr of the car. It seems my 20 minuets at Silverstone wore the bugger out. Is it serviceable? Who (appart from Nissan) sells them, will i need another 4 wheel computer track done & is it a bitch of a job? All & any help appreciated. harve

Im in need of some help. I posted a while back that my Z needed PCV's. well, they were done today at zworld and seem to have calmed the smoking a little, but...... 1. It is blowing out the dipstick virtually everytime it sees good positive boost, 2. It is smoking blue under medium-hard acceleration and they seems to be dumping the leaked oil on the manifold under braking or off throttle/bends. 3. It has a very lumpy tickover. HELP!!!!! has anyone ever had this prob? Is it turbo's? Headgaskets? Pistons? Some spurious little pipe that is blocked/split/cracked that could cause this? It is running smoothly when the throttle is touched and pulling/boosting properly. …

Hi, just brought a NA 1991 300zx fresh from Japan, does anybody know wether i need to run this vehicle on the higher rated fuels like shell optimax or will she be ok running on standard unleaded, just wondered as ive been told that over in Japan the fuels are a higher rating (like shell optimax) than what we have here. Any help or suggestions would be gratefully recieved. Richard.

Hi all, another problem has come up now, whining noise coming from left of engine, think it is power stearing pump cos every now and then the stearing goes stiff and Hicas light comes on now and again altho fluid is ok. Hi all, I have a 300ZX 1989 Jap import TT AUTO. I bought the car without an engine (as it is unbelievably good condition and very low mileage) and had my uprated engine from another TT fitted. All was OK until the gargage took the beast out for it's final test drive. They found that the car ran perfectly except it wouldn't go into top gear? 1-2-3 were perfect. The garage decided that it was a gearbox problem and installed another AUTO box. It seemed to fix the problem but 10 days later, while in top gear on the m-way the car revved out. I've changed the clutch fluid and could only get DOT 4 instead of DOT 3,i'm worried this may affect the seals which may be the cause of an irritating clicking coming from the master cylinder!!!!!! Mineral or silicone???????????
