Same as last year - just the cars, a couple of tall banners and the three-part-pull-up thingy. We have three cars; courtesy of Lee, Pastor Jay and PhilD - all of whom have stepped up and offered to be there for duration and cover their own costs. Thanks for the kind offer for the loan of the carpets, plinth etc Ian - that certainly be useful. The only issue is the logistics. I can organise collection like last year, but I would struggle getting the kit from my house to Birmingham. I'll have a think about how we can do it and let you know. And as always, Ian, if you're free there will be a wristband reserved for you in recognition of your contribution to NEC shows past, present and future!!

Today I refreshed the "Twin Turbo" badge on my plenum. It was letting the engine bay down, after Jimmer worked his magic last month.....😉 ....So I found a sticker on Ebay, which fits over the OEM badge - for a fraction of the cost of a new badge from Japan. If it doesn't last, then I'll shell out for a new badge, But for now, this looks OK!!

For those of us of a certain age, we grew up watching Esther Rantzen on "That's Life" of a Sunday evening..... She made us laugh, she made us cry, but sadly she has just passed away. RIP Esther - another sad loss.

Not about our choice, but ultimately who is actually willing to commit for the duration..... The year you refer to was 2024, and the only three who stepped up all had red cars. Decision made for us. If you want different coloured cars on show, and you have one and are willing to commit, step up, as the saying goes......😉

Evening all - and thank you to everyone who has offered their time and cars for the show...! We certainly have more interest than the three cars needed, and as yet no decision has been made (IE no votes cast) with regards exhibitors. Which leads me onto the deciding factor.... The club is not in a position to pay for exhibitors' accommodation, due to the financial outlay and the benefit such expense has to each and every member. Whilst we may be able to make a nominal contribution, please bear in mind that you would have to cover any costs yourselves. Which is why I ask once more, who is prepared to step up and commit to the whole thing? In the past, I have organised an Air B&B to mitigate costs - but due to the difficulty in meeting everyone's requirements, I would rather leave that to the exhibitors to manage themselves as necessary. If you are still interested, please do let me know!

I collected my Zed yesterday afternoon - and have to say what a great job Jim has done... The new loom and injectors have transformed the car, the engine runs so much smoother and feels more responsive. I needn't have worried about the suspension, it looks lower in the photos than it actually is. It's still on the low side, but Jim has set everything up well - not too harsh, but it also handles just nicely. The steering wheel is dead straight, after Jim replaced the rack bushes and track rod ends and performed a laser alignment - something the usual tyre places often fail to get right. Suffice to say, I enjoyed the 100 mile drive home - definitely well worth the trip. Thanks Jim🤩
