  1. Good day all, As you know, we have been exhibiting at the NEC classic motor show every year since 2014 (covid aside) - and once again, we have been fortunate to get offered a club stand this year. The show takes place Friday November 13th to Sunday November 15th inclusive - so your car would have to be on the stand from Thursday 12th until the show closes around 5pm Sunday evening. Details of the show are here Classic Motor Show | The UK's Premier Classic Motor Event Our stand is in hall 5, number 5-720 - approx. 8 x 7m, large enough for three cars. So, I'm looking for volunteers - three cars please - plus your good selves to man the stand for the duration.... This is a g…

Sad day today as my first zed i ever owned was towed away to a breakers yard. This was a 1991 NA which i originally purchased over 17 years ago, but unfortunately wasn't economic to repair due to excessive rust.

  3. Going to start this thread for members to post up what they did each day to there zed. I will start with getting my MOT this morning. So what did you do today on your 300?:cool3:

Hi! Not sure if I'm correct here, just joined the group. A solid 2 months ago I bought a lovely 1997 300ZX Z32 in a beautiful purple color. It's been a great car so far and I love it with all my soul as it's the first sports car I've owned since I am only 20 🤣 I did encounter a problem yesterday after work though. My front windshield wipers always worked with no problem, showing no signs of giving up. Then, on my way home from work, as I turned them on in the rain, they swiped once and then stopped working. I pulled over to check if turning the car on and off would solve it, which it didn't. I was able to freely move them around but as soon as they reached the top positio…

  5. Started by RichardS,

I have had the odd running issue with my Zed the last couple of months - an intermittent miss-fire when cold, sticky throttle after a long fast run, and the speed sensor failed again last week after trying Jeff's old epoxy resin fix a while back..... ....So I did what we advise everyone else to do and called Jimmer. Jim recommended the full engine loom replacement, new ethanol friendly injectors, ERG delete, new rocker cover gaskets and a plenum tart-up with new bolts etc., to improve the engine bay appearance! So I dropped the car at Powerzed on Monday morning and Jim sent me the first progress pictures today! And while it's there he'll be fitting a few other new parts, …

  6. Hey so I'll make this short. A year ago I bought a sight on scene 300zx for about 6k on ebay, the seller only had 2 sales. Now you're thinking "wow, nice shitbox" thank you! I know I'm so proud, but here's where it gets really confusing.... Inside the glovebox was a some papers from a place called outlaw customs ltd Now when I first got the car I thought I'd give them a call, it rang but no answer. I tried multiple times on both numbers but no answer. I later found out the company has dissolved. I'm essentially putting some feelers out because I have no idea who owned the car, I have an idea that a Mike built it, but no way of contacting either. The car had been sat fo…

  10. As many of us have found, it’s nigh on impossible to find a decent, working Z32 aircon compressor these days, and reconditioning is one of the few available options. However, a guy from LOJ Conversions in the US has been using 350Z compressors (with a small modification) to replace the Z32 unit. See 17:30 in the following YouTube vid: https://youtu.be/09Fd7OmRPs4?is=Kkr0357GfyvXsu4H Certainly food for thought as they’re not making any more of ‘em! Cheers Steve 😊

I have just replaced my old rad with a japspeed rad. I need new top rad brackets as the old ones do not fit, does any one know where in uk I can get? Many thank Art

  14. Started by arthur,

It failed on 2 things - welding on two areas - this has been done ✔️ The MOT tester failed it on power steering hose/pipe leaking ! On my inspection - no power steering leak!, My zed is an auto to manual change - I have the old rad in place with plastic sides. They are prone to cracking over time & this was a water leak not a power steering leak. New all alloy rad obtained from Japspeed New tyres & brake pads all round are going on whilst waiting for my windscreen

  15. Started by arthur,

I contacted Autoglass on the 5 July & gave me the earliest appointment 22 July! As I am out of the country till the 26th I contacted Autoglass the day before with the apprehension of them not having sourced a windscreen? They told me it will be approximately 16 weeks for them to replace it . I thought optimistically 6 weeks🙄

I've had this 300ZX fo about 20 years now it's a naturally asperated z32 soft top jap import it's been standing for some time, tryed to start it recently and nothing happens thought at first the starter motor was stuck but my son who is a mechanic has checked this and it is fine and works when he gives it power we located the starter relay and that seems fine too but there is no signal getting from the ignition to the starter motor and we can not get it to fire we are trying to find the inhibitor switch on the auto gear box now to see if that is working the battery is fine but we are getting nothing to work from the ignition what are we missing here, are common faults tha…

  17. Started by Mint-Z,

Hey all, got my 1990 NA up and running well, so I'm starting to touch up the things she needs to be comfortable. My overhead light cover has been gone since I got her, and I'm not sure which one to buy, as it looks like a long variant from the 2+2 was in place, but the car's a 2+0. Is this like, the previous owner cutting things out and I should get a small one and patch it, or should I go for the longer one? I haven't been able to find much on this online. Thanks guys!

  19. Just adding to the mountain of praise on here for Jim, but I couldn’t not drop a review after the work he’s just finished on my Z32. We all already know Jimmer is the go-to guy for these cars, but experiencing it firsthand is something else. He has given the car a completely new lease of life. That rough idle is entirely sorted, and with the new injectors and new loom in, it honestly runs just like it’s come straight from the factory. His insight and attention to detail live up to every bit of the hype on this forum. Communication was top-tier throughout, the turnaround was incredibly quick, and—as everyone always says—it was very well-priced for the level of specialist e…

  21. My 2007 imported Z32 had h3c bulbs. I bought the car recently and it has a knackered HID system which I've taken out. I want to fit H3 bulbs is all. I'm having issues trying to figure out how to or where to earth the H3 bulb? Also, it's now illegal in the UK to have HID or LED lights in a car that didn't have them in the first place. (Some criteria online if you want to see), so mine will fail it's MOT in September if i don't fit H3C or H3 bulbs anyway. How can i earth these H3 bulbs please? As you know the ignition switch wiring for these means if i do it wrong, the lights will stay on permanently or something. Can someone explain an update to this query? As when i se…
