The Greddy Controller is a weird one, I have everything installed still except the control panel which just doesnt exist. Managed to get my hand on a 2nd hand kit and intent to try and find the cable and refit the control panel. Is there any way I can validate if that map chip still exists? Yeah I guessed the issue with the mileage before buying as although it seems weird, it corrects itself and converts to KM perfectly so that was no real concern. I can tell there was a lot of care gone into it at one point, just not by who I bought it from. He didnt treat it badly, just had it sat in a warehouse. So its basically as you left it by all accounts If you find anything on it at all, i'll have it off you and slowly but surely build up more paperwork for her. She's already had paintwork done and been to @jimmer for the first of many trips to him. Appreciate all the information you've given already mate, honestly so good to connect with previous owners. I bought her from a collector in Birmingham - Yes, Birmingham, no paperwork, must be mad ay! hahaha I'm too gutted about the paperwork, but I had enough trust in what I saw to know she was pretty sound, just not had much TLC in 5 years as she was sat in dry storage. You could have saved me a headache I had all last year with the paint! I had a body shop try to recreate it as I wanted the bumpers re-doing. They managed about an 85% match which was the best they could do but its not the best. Dont suppose you have all the paint details do you? Cause I love the colour and would love to get it fully re-done in the same colour. Do you have any details on the map? - I knew it was quicker than standard but again, no paperwork to prove it. In fact, any more information full stop would be greatly appreciated mate 🙏

Just adding to the mountain of praise on here for Jim, but I couldn’t not drop a review after the work he’s just finished on my Z32. We all already know Jimmer is the go-to guy for these cars, but experiencing it firsthand is something else. He has given the car a completely new lease of life. That rough idle is entirely sorted, and with the new injectors and new loom in, it honestly runs just like it’s come straight from the factory. His insight and attention to detail live up to every bit of the hype on this forum. Communication was top-tier throughout, the turnaround was incredibly quick, and—as everyone always says—it was very well-priced for the level of specialist expertise you’re getting. Jim even checked in with me after I got the car back to make sure it was still running perfectly. Safe to say he’s found another return customer in me; I'm already planning the trip back down to Bristol next year for some new turbos. Just adding more reinforcement to what this community already knows: if your Z needs sorting, @jimmer is the man!

Thanks @AndrewG - So would assume the knock sensor. Will look to reconnect the broken wire. Not sure if you can make out well on my picture but one wire is intact, while the one my finger is on is broken.

@vijay - "Head" was a typo on my phone, was fully meant to say "Heat" 😂

Thanks @Stephen & @AndrewG I've just done a first pass with contact cleaner and a flat head, I regained 2 cylinders but I believe I'm still 2 down. So leathered the ptu connections with contact cleaner and will let it drip dry, then try again. Interesting note, my PTU has been relocated to be next to the air intake. Assuming to avoid head cycles.... I have also just noticed this severed connection on a connector, any idea what it's for?...image to follow.

Ok, got her starting and running again. Only seems to be firing on 3 cylinders now though. New spark plugs, new coil packs obviously. Anything else to consider changing?

Yeah, that makes total sense haha. Will do that. How do I know I have a spark exactly without fuel?

@JaiKai - I'm at the point of having all the spark plugs out now. (Had to do it around work)... So the plan is to fit the new battery now, then crank it with the coils and spark plugs out. Is that right? When should I stop cranking?

Just a case of cranking the engine with the spark plugs out I believe? - I'm learning as I go, be patient 😂
