Jap autogear box child lock/safety lock?

Can anyone out there please tell me why I cannot shift from park.Is there a microswitch somewhere on the brake pedal/near the brake pedal that may have gone up the swanny.I can only release the gear leaver by using the little leaver on front of the gear leaver........if you see what I mean!!!!!!!!:o

    yep, theres a switch on the brake pedal, you should hear a click under the lever as soon as you touch the brake pedal.

    Give it a go brotherman , get your selfish under the dash ,look at the manuals there is,and ave a look,only you know whether you can do the job !!!!
