Clutch fluid

I've changed the clutch fluid and could only get DOT 4 instead of DOT 3,i'm worried this may affect the seals which may be the cause of an irritating clicking coming from the master cylinder!!!!!!

 

Mineral or silicone???????????

    Dot 4 will be fine.

    4 is the direct replacement for 3 and i dont think u can buy 3 any more.

     

    You'd also be ok with dot 5.1 which is slightly better, but wouldnt be neccesary for a clutch.

     

    It's only Dot 5 which will ruin your seals ;)
