Does anyone know what all the japanese text says on my drivers sun visor!! Paul N

On way home from work my 300 cut out 4 times....when i was slowing down at lights or turning into my street when there i am at slow speed....i leave it for a few seconds and it starts no probs and runs ok....no lights flashing or misfires. When the car restarts it turns like normal then fires up...no slow start like in fuel starvation...I have tried mooving plugs etc then as i say when i try..it starts no probs... The only thing i was wondering was with the emission control.....both my cats are fecked as at MOT my car failed (but passed Any input welcome. Cheers guys.....John Crisp

Hi all, More than likely a silly question but I have only had my 300ZX for 2 days now. Is there any point on having dump valves on my TT Auto, as do you have to have a manual to get that whooossh sound from them? :confused: Also where is the best place to get them fitted. I have the 10 Disc CD multi changer control panel under the arm rest, but I don't seem to have the changer itself. :rolleyes: Where should it be and can I hook up a third party one?. Cheers.

It's probably because the cig lighter is as old as the car but it takes ages for it to warm up, the lighter has to be held down to heat up, and it cant even light a rizler paper. Is this because the whole thing is stuffed or is this a common problem that has a simple fix?

lads i need your help looking at my car today i noticed that there was not as much legroom on the passenger side as there was on the drivers so i lifted the carpet and found velcro connectors fixed to a wooden panel whth 4 small bolts securing it to the floor/bulkhead. oh no i thought ive been shafted:cry: as i imagened the damage or bodges it must be covering. out came the socket set and as i removed the panel to my surprise there was this big box thingy with dozens of wires comming out of it. there was a dial on the side with jap writeing on the side and it said impul racing impul high power control unit z32m 1031 whats it all about lads any ideas?

Hi me again, My toy is making a whining noise from the gearbox! Its not that loud but is annoying, it stops when I press the clutch in but is there the rest of the time. Is it a box problem or a clutch problem and how can I cure it! Before anyone says it I've already tried turning the music up but it doesnt go away it just hides. Also when I bought the car the guy said he had fitted a new clutch 1000 miles ago but when I floor it instead of the wheels spinning its the clutch that spins is this normal and do I need a stronger spinged clutch to overcome this. Its a bit of a pain when trying to get a good time at Crail raceway. Best time so…

Hello everyone I know this question has been asked 100s of times but carnt find the threds? if you fit aftermarket venting dump valves, how do they work on an auto, I mean when do they make the loud dump nosie, is it on every gear change or on lift off? many thanks everyone. JIM.

Are conzults just for twin turbos ? Just wondered what exactly they tell you, and is it worth looking at buying one for my zed?!? Im not really clued up on engines etc but im learning slowly!

Anyone know the part Nos for the two heater matrix hoses at the back of the engine? I only need the one that comes out of the bulkhead lowest! It seems to have been cut by the jubilee clip as the hose enters the back of the engine. Or what do I ask for! as the two of them are sods to change they are £14.50 each but I dont need both! Can any one help if this makes sense?

Thats the sound my front offside wheel makes when going round a right hand corner. :rolleyes: I hit a kerb at low speed a couple of weeks back, thought I had got away without damaging my baby but it seems something has broken/come loose. Could this be the CV boot/joint?. Thanks

Can anybody tell me what turbo's a 89 jap import should have on as standard. Had car over the pit today and the only ID I can see on them is Garrett 189. No other numbers are visable. Are these the standard turbo's or have they been changed ? Regards Kevin

Can you tell me where the fuse for the lighter is hiding as I blew the fuse and need to replace it. It may sound stupid but I just got the car.

Have fitted a set of Denso Iridiums to my car last Thursday night - So far have been very pleased with them and have had no side effects. Just in case anyone wonders if they work......They are IK20's I have a stock setup. And I left the gap untouched at 0.44 mm as out of the box and straight into the car. Probly coz they are new plugs V's old but I get more boost now. Will report if fuel consumption is anyt better if that appears to be the case. :dance:

How much BHP improvement will I see fitting a better exhaust than stock to my NA? If that was the ONLY thing I did. I do not want a massive loud rude exhaust. I like four exit, just a bit bigger- not HUGE (and not too loud). Anyone recommend one?

I pretty much know what each of the connectors under the bonnet are now with the exception of these two. Any ideas ?

Started getting a metal on metal squeak today on the way home from work, noticed i only got it on hard acceleration, ie on boost, i had visions in my mind of the blades of the turbo scraping on their housings and me having to part with over a grand and be zedless for a while. After searching the engine bay for boost leaks etc, panic was setting in, then the obvious occured. Lookes at the Near side wheel and the brake pad indicator was touching the disc, bent it back tested, noise gone, phew!!!!:D So now i got to get a set of pads instead of a set of tubs!!!!

I used to put a bottle of this in my escort every now and again. It might have been my imagination but it did seem to make it idle more smoothly. Don't know if it had any real beneficial effect. Would you put it in your zed or is it just a medicine show bottle?
