    Hi, Measured my RWHP on my S13 tonight with a Gtech meter, which is meant to be one of the most accurate ways of measuring RWHP! SE RR Day RWHP 199 Gtech Meter RWHP 230:D :D :D I have corrected the ingnition timing slightly since the RR day, but I doubt if it would make 30BHP difference! Seems to tally up with what most people said the RR was inaccurate by!

    help i have a problem with my zed i have a 1990 Z32 swb non-turbo..ok the car is good through out apart from one small issue. when im cruising along at any given speed and i have my foot just resting on the accelerator..it dicks about slighty... it is when im trying to just cruise at about 30 or so and im maybe slowing down but i stil have some throttle.... it seems to varry the power..jerks around a bit (although not agressively) it idles fine...and if you just crack the thottle the revs lift and it seems steady...just when im travelling it dicks about? how do i cure this? any help would be cool.

    I have just bought a new drivers side are for my steering rack. When i loosened the arm the shaft going into the rack turned round quite a bit until the arm loosened. Now i think the rack is nachered as to me there should be no movement. Anyone ever changed the arm i am talking about that goes from like the track rod and bolts onto the rack and did they have any moovement in the rack. Cheers John Crisp

    Right then,after a long drive, i booted it today in first gear, when i went to change to second it wouldnt go in, and when it eventually did it crunched like fook, then the revs soared and the car accelerated slowly! When i stopped and pulled away again, the clutch started slipping like mad (in all gears) and i barely made it up the hill to my house! Have i blown my clutch ? I have left the car for a couple of hours now and im scared to drive it, because i will break my heart Is there any suggestions for this - or is it sh@gged?:( Cheers - mike

    Anyone know where i can get hold of bulbs for the spot lights on my 1990 j spec 300 ive got 100w in at the moment thats the bulb with the wire attached and the one you just push in they only do in 5w which is too dim so ive got one spot light dimmer than the other, Anyone know of any brighter? i know higher watts are illegal but the ones i have in since i got the car are brighter.

    When I got my zed, I was ignorant of the "when you have this bit dismantled you may as well replace that bit while you're in there" nature of these cars. Consequently when I had the cambelt etc done the water pump appeared OK so I didn't get it changed. Now I'm getting a strong coolant smell after high speed driving and there are antifreeze splashes over the front of the engine around the belt cover and metal pipe in which the temp sensors fit. It is definately not from the rad, I shone a torch down there and there are more coolant stains on the engine block between cam belt covers. The car doesn't overheat (yet) and I've only needed to top the expansion ta…

    Had the car up on axel stands today to try and find out what this terrible grinding whirling noise was which has been pissin me off for ages, took the belt off alternator and started the motor and no noise, now has been replaced by secondhand one...........thank god for that, i seem to be buying something for this car every day now, still yet to have cambelt, water pump etc done as well. To be honest i wish i didn't buy the dam thing.     Yes, my car sounds like a sad old vauxhall cavalier everytime I start her up again! Squeeky belt syndrome is not what I want to be recognised for! I had new belts fitted in the summer and after a few weeks they were squeeling like Graham Norton at a Chippendales gig. I had the belts re-tightened and now with the recent drop in temperature (perhaps?) they're off again. 30 seconds of horrendous squeeling from start up and then they're ok till the next cold start. Is this normal?????

    yep its the old detonation again!! modified the zed with:- se-maxiflow twin pop intake turbo technics 13.5 psi 360 degree turbo's de-cat & stainless exhaust cat back and ofcourse the se-chip!! running this set up i hve had detonation which destroyed my last engine so i dont fancy it happening again! runs fine with the standard chip but with the se-chip i get detonation where am i going wrong?? any help appreceated cheers dewi ap

    My radiator cap is knackered - the rubber seal is shot to bits but not bad enough that it loses hardly any water at all - however when I stop the car I get a bubbling noise behind the dash board - My theory is that the system cant get pressurised enough due to the bad rad cap and is allowing the water to boil when the engine is turned off and the water sint flowing.. .I also reckon it may be allowing parts of the engine to run hot. Anyone think this sounds about right - or any other offers of ideas? Thanks.

    Removed the front end of the convert and fiddling around with the air intakes!!! Noticed after the airfilter as each pipe goes to each bank, there is a piece of pipe that ataches to it and bypasses the air filter and goes straight to the air inlet? What is this for?

    Hi ALL, Looking to buy a 300zx myself soon :D friend has one (1990 TT) but the boost gauge dosent move on it at all just sits at zero (unless he switches it off) what pressure do the turbos run at normally becuse his one the gauge only ranges from - + 7 i thought the gauges ranged from - + 14. Can anyone help?? thanks

    Well guys I am back with more problems on the Zed, but I guess these are my own fault for testing out my top end on a certain M road!:slap: Well, I have water leaking from somewhere, when I look under the car, it looks like is coming down around the gearbox area, any ideas???? Could I do this or anyone help me??? Also, a metal rubbing noise coming from the front drivers side which you only really hear when you go over a speed bump or a rough road. And also a fuel leak from the round funny thing that sits on the left hand back side of the engine with 3 pipes connecting to it which should be easy enough to sort. ANy ideas on any of these guys??:confuse…

    Hi, not probably the right place to ask but I know how knowledgeable you guys all are. I need a link to a wioring diagram for a MR2 turbo or SW20, whatever you wanna call em.     Where's the best place to mount the solenoid for the Boost controller. I know it should be within three feet of the turbo's but I have also seen people mount it over by the hicas set-up. Where have you guys mounted yours ?

    I'm looking to improve the bass in me car, so I've decided to get a sub. But I know next to nuffink about ice, except it makes ya drinks cold!! So.... Do I need to buy an amp to run a sub? Can I just buy any old sub, or do they have to be the same make as the head unit? WTF is an active subwoofer? How does it differ from a normal sub? If it helps, my head unit is a Sony Xplod one! All help and suggestions gratefully recieved.. Malibu:dance:

Best i've seen so far is JE's for £460 pistons, £70 rings and shipping which i have yet to check, but am guessing at around £100? All help greatfully recieved. Thanks. si
