The banana wants to ask a question. Just been reading how much you lot spend on bills etc, etc...and I know people have told me don't buy a Z if your worried about money, but I would like to know:

 

How long you have owned the car

How much have you spent on general maintenance (including MOT, tyres, brakes, oil. blah de blah)

How much you have spent on repairs

 

And finally how many people drive over 15,000 miles in it a year?

Tyres 3 changes. Rear set lasting about 8000 and fronts 12000

Rear wheel bearing, welding, exhaust gaskets replaced, rear ball joint replaced. £500

Clutch Change. £360 for Clutch. £90 flywheel skim, £20 rear seal, £125 labour.

Drivers trackrod end, £34. Fitting £10 (Cos they messed up)

£25 brake pads, 2 changes,

£80 for spark plugs,

£20 fuel filter,

 

Modifications.

£125 A'PEXi induction.

£600 Race Logic Traction Control with slip and launch.

Benifits of Traction Control ;)

When mine got to a yar of ownership i totaled up all bills (excluding petrol insurance and tax) came to just over a grand, that is a grand to keep on the road, general maintinance and servicing, no major problems(touch wood).

 

By the way that year i also did about 15000 miles nearly 12,000 in the first 6 months, less than 3,000 in the following 6 months!!!

 

£20 a week to keep a zed on the road, bargain!!! :D

UK TT 91 Owned for past 2.5 years!

 

98000m on clock when bought, now 130000m

 

First year 23000 miles covered!

 

Gen maint like oil change, mot, service cost, tyres-3 sets! 2.5K

 

Repairs- new engine - new auto box - new rad - front wing respray - new front pads - new bulbs, er I might have left something out! 5.8K

My hope of getting a 300zx b4 I am 25 looks like going out the window.......anyway, one day I will get there.
