Have not posted anything in the Help section for months now two problems in two days :( Car overheated big time today 107c , steam pooring out the rad cap and all over the floor. and it went from 80c to 107c in about a 1.5 miles Last time the car overheated about 6 weeks ago the expansion tank was full to the top, emptied it out and all has been fine since , it now seems its full up again Anybody have any ideas why the expansion tank would fill up completely and not go down , and why the sudden overheat ??

I need the pair of 5 bolt gaskets that go between a T28 and the exhaust downpipe. I think I can get the 200SX S14 gasket but I'm not sure? Anybody know the part number or where I can get a service diagram? Had a look at SXOC.co.uk but it looks like I have to pay to join? Chris.

I am trying to get hold of some clear front wing indicators but have had no luck getting through to the Zcentre via Phone or email. Does anyone know of another supplier? cheers jim

I ask me some questions about the power increase on my Z. If I increase the pressure from 10 to 14 PSI, it will generate some reliability problems, yes or no? To increase the pressure, what is the best device? Gas reducer or boost jet in pipes? Thanks in advance for your advices. Zyx300

Hi all A warning to you all. In my opinion, do not use the follwing so called insurance specialists for the 300zx. Houghton Insurance Brokers and Chaucer Insurance. The reason being that I cancelled my insurance with them for the 300 zx after 33 days cover. I paid £433 up front for an annual policy. I received £233 back. I lost nearly 50% for only 33 days cover. What a rip off. It took them 7 weeks to give me my refund only after the Financial Ombudsmen got involved. So in my opinion do not use either and also pay the insurance by monthly premiums. I have my big end failed TT engine in my back yard! It has all the bits on it + TTs good cylinder heads ect ect Would you! Scrap it? Or Consider a rebuild? After all, size can be important :D Vijay posted about this before and got 2 people saying they had 21" wipers and 1 saying they had 22". Mine are only 19". (Not a surprise as my wife would say!). And I never noticed until I was looking for a new pair. PIAA's listing for the Z32 gives 21" (well, 52.5cm) - is this size OK? No problems? TIA - Gio

Are they the same for all cars, and if they are where can i get one from ? My mate has a jap import Z with a multi disc jap thing in the dash but it only goes up to 90.0 fm,then returns to 70 something !?! I told him id ask about to see if i can get one for him ! Cheers guys for any help - Mike

could some one tell me how this heater system works or supposed to as mine seems to have a mind of its own. start up first thing its a cold morning so i press auto put temp up to full heat which is 40 c after car as done a couple a miles the fan springs in to life full speed but its not that hot so i press low speed which works ok, thing is nothing comes out of centre vents how do i get them to work there is no button for this? anyway i play around with the setting on temp and take it down from 40c to 22c next thing hot air comes out of centre vents and not on windscreen. Anyway i leave these settings as they are stop engine then come back to it and start up again…

Cant seem to get rid of this temp problem! thought i did obviously not!! i replaced the temp sensor 5months ago (brand new from nissan)....traced the wires to the ecu from the sensor and there is deff no break in the circuit. Ive also tried a new ecu but no joy..STILL code 13....AAAARRRH Also not sure but will check tmrw but i think the rad fan is always ON... and dont think the Aux fan works..and no aircon. can anyone possibly help, duffman where rrrrrrrrrr you? jaz

Just so i don't get a shock i've done 50k now and hear a very slight wuuuring when i'm out of gear and let the clutch out,it goes when i depress it! First thing is obvious never run out of gear........second how much is a new clutch fitted? Last could the irritating clicking be the clutch springs making a noise,they only seem to start when the car is warm????

Hi All, Got a bit of a smokey problem so want to change the PCVs before chucking all the money I don't have at new turbos. My Nissan dealer is quoting a stupid price for the valves/hoses so I was thinking of buying from Courtesy. Can anyone tell me if they're sided in any way?? i.e. will US valves and hoses be ok for a Jap/UK car?? Anyone else interested in splitting the postage on a set of these? Cheers! RobH

Fitted the new mongoose exhaust at the weekend now the car is kicking out loads of blue smoke and stinking of oil The car was decatted about a year ago and I have had no problems since the de-cat untill now. Could there be oil in the exhaust from manufacture ??? Ryan

I've a CD cahnger in the boot sitting not too tight but have also got a wooden board with four bolts pointing upwards,is this something to do with something??????

Hello all, I bought my first ever 300zx on Saturday - what a car!! Just thought I'd say high to everyone here and if you could help me with a few questions I have: 1. Mine is an 89 G twin turbo and my turbo gauge reads -7 to +7 is this normal as from a site I was looking at it shows -14 to +14??? 2. The oil pressure gauge reads 0 to 8 what should it be reading at idle and on acceleration 3. How do you change a front sidelight bulb the one that is combined with the front fog?? 4. Hi, This is probably a passing phase seeing I have just finished watching 2 fast 2 furious but I have a question on NOS if anyone has any experience with it. I know the smallest jets that can be bought for NOS is 25bhp. Would I need to do extensive work on my engine and gearbox internals to use jets this big or would a standard set up be capable of handling this sort of power. If so then how about 50 bhp jets? My old mans got a Uk Zed in the Garage and its been there for the last 3 years. He brings it out now and then to run it but not very often, and in anycase only for 15mins or so. He wants to put it back on the road (or is hoping to). I was just wondering what sort of things are likely to need replacing on it? The exhaust is rusting and flaking underneath the back boxes so that need to go. Just want a rough idea of what may need replacing and how much. Cheers

ok silly question number two. still having fun with new car(90T/T). have noticed green wire disappearing into wooden panel in passenger footwell.(ECU??). not had a chance to investigate yet, anyone know wot it might be for? cheers nick
