Fitted the new mongoose exhaust at the weekend now the car is kicking out loads of blue smoke and stinking of oil

The car was decatted about a year ago and I have had no problems since the de-cat untill now.

Could there be oil in the exhaust from manufacture ???

so the only other possibility is turbo seals ???

Its weird that there has never been smoke and now there is loads and within 10 mins of starting the car with the exhaust on even before driving it

Don't worry i had exactly the same thing smell of oil burning a little blue smoke but it dissapears after you give it a good run and a few days!!!

You probably have less backpressure now on the seals - see how it goes.

That's what I was hoping for , I have not really taken it out for a run yet just started it in the drive

will take it a few junctions up the M4 later and see what happens

Cheers

I bought a Mongoose exhaust and for about two weeks after it was fitted I got loads of blue 'oily' smoke from under the car (especially after thrashing it a bit) It's all ok now, so fingers crossed yours will be the same.

Good luck!

So this sounds quite common with a mongoose then , would be interested to hear of anyone else having had the same problem.

this is exactly what happened to mine, i fitted a powerflow system on mine, then all of a sudden light blue smoke 10mins after start up! but now ive noticed that now its colder in the morning i dont get any at all??

I had a new enginne fitted to me sx, a mongoose at the same time. Half hour later oil was burning out the zorst. I was kind of hoping it would go away but it tuned out to be the turbo oil seals. All that labour wasted fitting the old turbo to the new enginne, how unlucky was that!!
