Help me! Can anyone tell me where the fuse boxes are on my z? Problem is, and i've only just noticed, is that when i switch my ignition on, the battery and oil light does not illuminate, only the hicas, handbrake warning, and door warnig lights. This isnt right, but i cant find any faults, so i thought i'd start with the fuses, but the only ones i can find are under the bonnet, there must be more Thanks in advance:confused: :confused: :confused:

Hello You know i was thinking about getting a z? well its more likley now as a rover pulled out of a junction on me last friday and killed the prelude. Just waiting for my money and i can start too look :)

OK it looks like its time for you all to have a laugh.. Went to use reverse and all I got was a metalic klonk and nothing. Any one know if the box is dead or can it be fixed

hi guys i have a turbo auto zx and for some reason the gear changes fine from first to 2nd but is starting to take longer to get into 3rd but it does go in and the kick down work v good is my gearbox about to blow or what......

Having read all the posts over the last week or so... .....I've found myself being drawn into the prospect of owning a Zed. Are there any experts out there that can help checkout a car I'm thinking of buying. Its is located in Guildford just off M25. Happy to pay your expenses! I have a nice new set of Azev 'M' wheels, 8.5 front and 10 for the back. They have an positive offset of 43mm. Now, I am not an expert, although I kind of understand the theory behind offsets, but, will these wheels fit on a Z OK? They were bought for a Toyota Soarer which I sold, and as far as I can gather this is the same fitment as a Supra. Will they fit a Z? I know one or two people here have Azev 'A's. Is the offset etc for these the same?

Right traction, how much traction am i loosing due to my tyres, dont get me wrong they are not slicks, but as the car is an import i would suspect as i aint changed them, that theyre a hard jap compound tyre, and i get very little traction: eg dry road, tyres warm, boot it in 2nd and all hell breaks out and it drifts sidewards wheelspinning!. If i boot it in the rain or wet conditions it will do this in 4th gear!!, now this is all well and good for the fun factor, but a bit aggravating when you want to make progress, so how much difference will diff tyres make, or am i wasting my money, am i wrong, maybe all non standard zeds are like this, will it have to be traction co…

Pleasse can anyone tell me where the speed sensor is located. My Z is a 91 model auto. I've got a problem with my cruise control and have been told to check the speed sensor. Is is easy to get to? Thanks for your help guys. kash

Guys, just a quick one. For those of you who have had bonnet bulges fitted, where are you washers located now for the windscreen. Mine are on the Cowling just below the windscreen and I find that the water then squirted only hits the wipers and not the screen. I have tried to adject them but I don;t think they are adjustable. Anyone else had this problem ?

I'm looking at getting a fluid level sensor made up to go in the coolant system somewhere that will tell me when the coolant level has dropped. The question I have is where abouts in the system would be a good/safe level to be at where the alarm would cut in? Cheers Vijay

My passenger side washer jet has stopped working. Have taken it off, given it a jolly good poke with a pin and still no luck. Definitely not a hose blockage since the other one works OK if I swap them around. I suppose that these are cheap enough to simply change, but what on earth can go wrong. Surely it's no more than a simple jet with two tiny holes.

Iv asked about these b4 but didnt get the response i was looking 4!!! So im gonna ask again does any1 know where i can get the headlights chromed (the ugly grey/black plastic inside the headlights) as i want to get it done and i cant be asked to fork out the silly price from nissan which is huge - on one site i sow $1500 which is ridiculous for some headlights. Hi all, Bit of an odd clutch problem. The point where the clutch bites moved overnight - so much so that it was very difficult to get the car into 1st gear now and all other gears are a bit of an effort. Checked the fluid reservoir which was below the minimum, topped it up, bled the circuit (which seemed to be ok) and no difference. I've adjusted the pedal to maximum now so the car is driveable. S'pose I must have a leak with the reservoir being empty but it's not gone down since I topped it up last.... Any ideas?? Cheers! RobH

Last weekend i reset the ECU to try and solve a problem with the idle dipping and surging. This has improved slightly, but it still dips and surges whenever Im at a standstill. However, from Monday to Thursday, I only ran it on Optimax. The difference in acceleration now is amazing. The boost gauge (aftermarket) says that the car is producing 17 psi of boost. I dont believe this is wholly accurate. :) However, Thursday evening I had to put some standard unleaded in as I was too far from any shell garage. Detonation occured well before max boost was achieved. About 15 PSI on the gauge. So yesterday evening I put in some Super Unleaded. Detonation…

Hi to all. I have just picked up my zx, jap import - auto (non turbo) and was pleased to find this site. I have read quite a few posts to try and clarify if my experience is as it should be. When i really open it up it vibrates badly through 4/5000 rpm (which i feel through the gear stick) and also when kick down at higher speeds (90mph). It seems to wander slightly when throttled hard as if you have to correct the steering and my oil pressure reads about one. Please tell me i have not got i pile of crap and these can be rectified myself or cheap. A number of electrical irregularities but now i know where to find the fuse box i am happy. on the positive - what an ama…

After looking at two zeds with their engines ripped out, my brain is full up!!!! I just want to make sure I am reading the write ups on this correctly before I carry out the procedure! At the rear of the engine there are two pipes feeding the heater core, branching off these two pipes are two smaller pipes on each on one. Are these the two pipes that feed the throttle bodys and can I just take a piece of hose and join it onto each pipe, to complete the bypass!

Anyone know if its ok to gut a stock under car cat? mine look fooked, the mesh in it is all melted! i know you can do it with the pre-cat, can it also mbe done to the main cats? and any info on how to do it Thanks people Mathew aka mtl:dance:
