OK - I know I should be looking at Twin Trubo models but can the more clued in members here give me a guideline price for an imported 1990 NA auto with cloth not leather seats. Generally tidy, some engine bills (cambelt). I've seen similiar aged TTs for around £4K / £4.5 - a grand or so saved would be a big number in the safety bank.

Hello again, Can anyone tell me what I should replace on the 60,000 mile service apart from the Cam belt. If possible best oil to use, spark plugs???etc?? I have the cambelt and my mechanic has quoted me £140 to fit it so I might as well get everything else sorted at the same time. Thanks all, your help is really appreciated to a new owner like me. Ant:D

Can anyone help me, please? I'd like to purchase a new speed sensor to replace my current, erratic one, which has got an aversion to the British winter :D Question is this: do Courtesy sell this? I've lookeed but I'm boogered if I can find it. Anyone know their part no for it? Failing that - any other ideas to source one, outside of Mandella? I'd rather have a new one, as it seems to be a point of regular failure, so I thought I'd check that out before hassling Mr Andy Z! :D Any help appreciated. CheerZ, JB.

Is there anything i can do with the sat nav, as it thinks its in Japan, really nice tv screen with 65 channels and two vtr channels, theres a disc in the hard drive a panasonic mapping system, the only thing that works on it correctly is the compass, so it must be picking something up, and occasionaly i get some Jap city...........shame to throw it as probably expensive bit of kit.

Hi - I need some help here. Having finally got bored of my MR2 funday car I think I want to get a 300SX. In the past I've had a Supra Turbo and Caddilac Seville STS (300bhp lashings of tourqe) so I know I want a big engine and a smooth ride. It would be a pampered pet and not a daily driver unless of course the grin factor is too high in which case the MPV can sit and rust. I'm no boy racer I just want to be able to accelerate smoothly and overtake with ease. Is it really worth my while going for the twin turbo over the NA model? I guess leather is better than cloth, and I have a hankering for an auto rather than a stick (getting old). The bigge…

Hello all, Can someone please tell me what my standard boost guage should be reading on my standard (Import) 89 TT Auto as it is reading a little bit before the +7 and never reaches the +7 is this correct. Also does anyone know how much it is at Nissan for them to do a ECU check just so I know if there are any errors etc. Thanks for your help. Ant:confused:

According to this advert, the ECU they're selling will work in a Zed that's TT, NA with a MT or AT gearbox. I'm not sure whether I believe that, what do you guys think? I always though that the ECU programs were different. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33597&item=2443444443 Unless there's some way of switching the ECU's configuration with dip switches.

Having enjoyed trouble free motoring for the whole year it appears that the clutch plates require replacement in my auto box. assuming that the so called 'platinum warranty' doesn't cover any idea of cost and recommended repairer on the south coast (Southampton). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just went out the same run twice to decide whether to junk the HICAS - one with it on, one with it disabled. Was it better - in short yes, definately. Ulitmately I guess it's probably quicker with it or nissan wouldn't have put it on but that's academic if you don't have the confidence to chuck it around. To me, it's also academic if it'll pull 0.1g more in a 140mph corner because I like back road driving. It used to 2 main things that annoyed me: 1) Back end used to feel 'floaty' like it was going to come round on you. This used to happen mainly on bends with a changing radius or when you had to give a quick correction - basically anytime when you had…

How can you tell if your recircs are working? I think my turbos are stalling when I change gear because the turbos take a long time to spool up after a gear change at high revs when before they would already be spooled up. Stuart

In the middle of fitting afuel line kit, all going well. Minor problem is that there is a small metal pipe under the two main metal fuel pipes which run across the plenum (shown in pic). What have others done with this?

Has anyone on here successfully replaced the heater core following the instructions from the Aussie Site. I have removed the black control box but cannot remove the bracket. I am doing all of this without removing the dash. There is a small black box above the control box. I have removed all screws but cannot remove it. Does anyone know what to remove next after removing the control box from its bracket?

Hi Guys, Looking to swap my exhaust system as the present one has more holes than I wish to admit to, having checked out many of the options I have it down to 1) Blitz Nur Spec V , R or S 2) Greddy Evo 3) Trust cat back Anyone got these? any opinions? not too worried about price will go up to £700 (ish) for the right one The greddy evo seems nicest (in pics) the system I have now was on it when I bought it (Jap spec) and have no idea what it is but had a nice growl to it via the 2 x 4" tips but does not sound too loud at speed..well it it did`nt Main thing is having spent what seems like hours searching the net can not find someone …

Quick question guys At the moment mine is running (in a broad sense) with a superchip.....i know there crap but i have ordered the greddy emanage which is a piggyback ecu so am i better putting a standard chip back on and over riding it with the greddy emanage or does the chip in the ecu not do anything once the emanage is working?? I am just thinking from a reliability point of view because alot of people slate the superchips for reliabilty but if it doesnt matter then i wont mess with it Cheers Kirbz

Ok, I know it sounds weird, but when pressing on the brake, even gently, once you build up enough pressure (not stupid amounts) the I can feel the brake pedal click and it'll drop about 1cm. Any ideas why this is happening? Here's a clue - it most probably has something to do with me changing all the pads yesterday :D Just trying to work out what I did wrong to sort it out tomorrow
