Ordered some mats to be made up at Kish in Sunderland. Copying shape from my nasty jap ones and transfering the nice little metal plaque across. Going to pick them up at lunchtime. Will post pics if anyone is interested. I guess quite a few of you will already be familiar with their work, he works closely with Peter @ PPS apparently. Wish I had the cash to get the full interior done!! David

Hi all! Today I went from Folkestone to Dover max miles 10. First 2 miles town, 6 miles dual carrageway max MPH 70, last two miles in town. Switch off engine. Steam or smoke rising from near side under the bonnet & windscreen on the out side. Lifted bonnet quick look, it looked like steam/smoke coming up from back & below engine on inside past the battery. Could not see FA too many pipes & wires! Return to car and drove back! Looked under bonnet, check matrix hoses, not a drop of liquid anywhere! No smoke nowt! WTF is going on, or any ideas what it can be! Why cant we have more space under the bonnet! TT auto UK 91 Arthur

Just done some ferreting around in my car to try and find out what's been done to it by the previous Japanese owner. The ECU is a Hi-Tech ROM from Power House Amuse. Anyone know anything about this - is it any good? Unfortunately the Power House Amuse website is entirely in Japanese so I can't make head nor tail of it! I've managed to find some english instructions for the HKS EVC-IV controller, which I'll need to try and calibrate (or see if it is properly calibrated) and the Endless Function B6 coilovers (which seem to have settings ranging from very hard to extremely hard!) How do I find out if the turbos etc are standard, can't actually figure out how t…

Hi A while back I was getting the old heavy steering/speedo failure/HICAS & ABS lights on, usually when wet and/or cold. I jacked the car up the other week, wiggled, squeezed and blitzed the Speed Sensor with WD40. This solved the heavy steering and failing speedo :) But for 5 or so minutes each morning until the car warms up the HICAS and ABS lights stay lit  No other symptoms. A couple of times going round a bend quickly they have both lit momentarily - but that sounds like its low fluid? But why would low fluid being indicated stop indicating when the car is up to temperature? Cheers for any input :) Pete

When the car is cold and you start it up the RPMs should go somewhere around 1800 and then drop slowly as the car heats up until RPMS goes up to normal. Around 700-800 Thats how my car used to be. Now it goes up to 1800 and then drops down immidiately. Sometimes it stays up to 600 and sometimes it shuts down. When it gets hot its fine. What might be the problem?

Hi y'all Since we're about to take my freshly-repaired Zed to La Belle France for a week of looning about, I thought it might be nice to be able to see where we were going in the dark. I've tried 85w bulbs before (£23 per pair from the US) but got seduced by the claims about PIAA Superwhite. http://www.piaa.co.uk So I tried a pair. Write up on 55w OEM vs 85w US vs 55w PIAA Being J-spec and needing H3C (unless I solder stuff or fiddle with the loom) the choices are limited. But gee - it's got bright out there (Well, for more than £20 per bulb, it bloody well should be!)

I am just wondering if anyone has had expericence in buying CD players, Amps etc from the US. I have been looking at a wensite over there and the prices seem silly. They have an amp on it that I bought a few years back in a shop locally for £460 and they have it on special offer at £160! Does anyone have any idea if I would have to apy duty if I got a friend to bring it into the UK with them as it would be a gift. I know if I was to do it mail order from the company over there then I would need to pay duty on it. Any idea what percentage this is? Many thanks, Justin:)
