Can any one tell me what if any changes I would have to make to my N/A so that I could fit an auto box from a TT? Also as you may have guessed the auto box on my N/A has gon an busted, big time. Hi, Just got a failure ticket on the rear (near side)wheel showing a reading on the rolling road test that is is binding. The mechanic said that the wheel spun freely by hand but when on the rolling road it wa showing resistance. I don't think the pads are binding as they have just been changed and the brake pistons were not siezed. Any ideas? Is there and internal brake system for the Park position (auto box) or am I just imagining? Hope you can help. Also needs a new front shock, someone suggested that this is a nissan only part, correct? Cheers Ady

I need to get hold of some1 who can compress my original tein springs by about another inch (just the rear ones) i dont know who to turn 2. B4 u guys say i shouldint thats the only option im left with that or cutting a coil which i dont want 2 do. Or i fork out £600 to replace the rear shocks and springs which i cant afford to do with all my costs that im induring these days. Guys i need some help any1 who u reckon could help me out let me know preferably in the london area but any ideas will do. Either that or i hire a FAT MAN to sit in my car all the time. He'll probably eat all of the pies 2 which will cost me more. The method is known to compress them…

Well, finally got my z back after changing the engine. All the hunting and stalling it was doing when hot has now stopped. Took it to Nissan went on the consult which showed nothing except that the new engine is from an auto. Which was good becouse it was nothing electrical. So it turned out to be that one of the dump valves would not close so vacuum was lost which caused the above problems. So no temp sensor or throttle bodies. Just a damn dump valve.

Any tips on fitting? Boot trim and everything out, cut holes in trim where the brace will go through, secure strut brace, refit trim. Anything extra I need to look out for? Not including crossing the road, strangers etc James! :D Cheers Pete

Hi all, Im thinking of selling my Supra Turbo and moving over to the 300ZX. I have never seen inside one though, and need it to be like the supe a 2+2 seating config. Some of the ones Im seeing advertised are only 2 seaters. Does this mean they've had rear seats removed or are they all 2 seaters? Is there anything I need to look for when buying? Im after a UK (hopefully), Twin Turbo , targa top, manual, 91(J) model preferably with a bodykit fitted for under £7k. What is the performance of these like against a Mk4 Supra TT? Are they easy to mod, Ive had my supe decatted, wastegate shimmed, straight through 4.5" exhaust, k&N Induction kit, Hybrid turbo. …

Is it ok to remove them as i now have gutted cats? and if so how do i do it and for what reason is it worth doing it for?:confused:

Really poor lights, beam seems to be right near the front of the car and lights dim, will the loom hold up if put in 100w lamps? Also no rear fog, can i change one of the reverse lights?

I know this has been asked before but i can't find the thread. The off side/Drivers side front wing is making a coffee perculator noise, what is it?????? Only noisy when engine is running. Cheers Rich

I am just after destroying one of the stubs on the rear of my Z. When switcing wheels from stock to 18's I found one of then nuts a bit hard to get on. When I went to back on the stock wheels a week later The nut had cross threaded on the stub and I was very lucky to get it off, but in the process destroyed one of the stubs. Can these be knocked out and replaced directly like for example mitsubishi Galant or do I need a whole new(secondhand unit)?? Cheerz R

ok, just pulled front panel to look at induction. car has big single cone, looks like its held on by big jubilee and and plug/sensor in side of unit. does this sound like standard filter/induction or has it been uprated. just found out the fun way that the speed restricters been sorted:D :D cheers nick p.s. subscription cheque is in post :)

Driving back from work last week just as i was streets away from home the car starts runing like it was on 5 cylinders. Parked up outside my house half hour later started thr car again and it starts nice ,went to park it in the garage and it happens again.well what ive done so far is to pull all the leads going to the coil packs, and you notice a change on 5 of them one of them number 4 cylinder when i pull the conector going to that cylinder nothing happens. Today i started it again it was fine as soon as it got to normal temp it starts running on 5 cylinders again what could be causing this?:confused:

hi guys i was driving my car and when i came to a set off trafic lights i noticed smoke did not think much of it because it was night time and it was cold any way if i drive the car without thrashing it it wuld not smoke hardly but if i thrash it and come to a stop it smokes what can the problem be any help please starting to have enough of my z ..................sorry also the car has had new turbos 1 and half years ago ...........

I'm fitting an oil pressure gauge and it comes with it's own sender. Where/how do I fit it? I presume I need to drill into an oil channel somewhere? Chris.

I need to get new turbo's fitted , without starting any rows can any one suggest a decent garage in the South , my only alternative is Grasshopers but that's like the other side of the world. Cheers Ryan

Just picked up my 300zx TT on Saturday - amongst the many extra gadgets on it is a round button on the console marked "Trig" (actually looks like "7rig"). I can see that Trig seems to be a PTU unit - any idea what the button is for?

I get drivers side tyre scrubbage on full lock and on a sudden uphill, and my front looks slightly lower than my rear. I'll be changing my 245 fronts to 235 which should help with the turning scrubbage. Do the suspension springs wear and sit lower over time? Would changing the shockers help too? Anyone got price for front Jap shockers and springs please? :) I only want stock. Cheers people ;) Pete

Hello, On my Jap Auto TT everytime I brake a red lights flashes up bottom left of dash saying "lights" is this normal as all my lights work so does this stop if a bulb is out?? Seems very odd. Cheers Ant:)

hi guys, just pulled my calipers off and the pistons seem very stiff, was thinking of doing a caliper seal kit change, where can i get this kit from?? cheers dewi ap

Does anyone know of a cure for excessive wind noise from the driver's window at high speed? The seal seems to be fine and the noise appears to emanate from somewhere where the glass edge meets the B pillar. Before getting a new seal is there anything else I can try? Thanks

Got my 91 jspec through the mot last saturday & there was a bit of a blow where the rear end of the exhaust joined the cat on one side. Whilst looking at it on the ramps & worrying about how much new cats might be he said mine didn't need cats anyway. Is this correct? Turned out not to need cats anyway.

hi guys i took my car to the garage and had the problem with the back of the car shifting to one side when i went over a small hump any way it turned out to be the track rod arm that goes into the rear steering rack can any one tell me how to take one off and fitt a new one any help thanx..........as always

Anybody used turbosport in Bedfordshire? I see in JP that they're offering hybrid turbo's (19 psi) fitted for £1395. Also do a full blue printed 15 psi re-build for £2585, & 20 psi inc lightened flywheel, low compression re-build for £3290. Wondered how this compares to SE?
