Cant seem to get rid of this temp problem! thought i did obviously not!! i replaced the temp sensor 5months ago (brand new from nissan)....traced the wires to the ecu from the sensor and there is deff no break in the circuit. Ive also tried a new ecu but no joy..STILL code 13....AAAARRRH Also not sure but will check tmrw but i think the rad fan is always ON... and dont think the Aux fan works..and no aircon. can anyone possibly help, duffman where rrrrrrrrrr you? jaz

Just so i don't get a shock i've done 50k now and hear a very slight wuuuring when i'm out of gear and let the clutch out,it goes when i depress it! First thing is obvious never run out of gear........second how much is a new clutch fitted? Last could the irritating clicking be the clutch springs making a noise,they only seem to start when the car is warm????

Hi All, Got a bit of a smokey problem so want to change the PCVs before chucking all the money I don't have at new turbos. My Nissan dealer is quoting a stupid price for the valves/hoses so I was thinking of buying from Courtesy. Can anyone tell me if they're sided in any way?? i.e. will US valves and hoses be ok for a Jap/UK car?? Anyone else interested in splitting the postage on a set of these? Cheers! RobH

Fitted the new mongoose exhaust at the weekend now the car is kicking out loads of blue smoke and stinking of oil The car was decatted about a year ago and I have had no problems since the de-cat untill now. Could there be oil in the exhaust from manufacture ??? Ryan

I've a CD cahnger in the boot sitting not too tight but have also got a wooden board with four bolts pointing upwards,is this something to do with something??????

Got a new rad cap - a hks one - but now am losing 2 cups of water a day - Do these fit our radiators and should I just go for a stock Nissan one....? Thanks.

Hello all, I bought my first ever 300zx on Saturday - what a car!! Just thought I'd say high to everyone here and if you could help me with a few questions I have: 1. Mine is an 89 G twin turbo and my turbo gauge reads -7 to +7 is this normal as from a site I was looking at it shows -14 to +14??? 2. The oil pressure gauge reads 0 to 8 what should it be reading at idle and on acceleration 3. How do you change a front sidelight bulb the one that is combined with the front fog?? 4. Any other things I should know about?? 5. Any regular meets in the Essex area?? Sorry to jump in with the questions but I really need to learn a bit more about…

Hi, This is probably a passing phase seeing I have just finished watching 2 fast 2 furious but I have a question on NOS if anyone has any experience with it. I know the smallest jets that can be bought for NOS is 25bhp. Would I need to do extensive work on my engine and gearbox internals to use jets this big or would a standard set up be capable of handling this sort of power. If so then how about 50 bhp jets? My old mans got a Uk Zed in the Garage and its been there for the last 3 years. He brings it out now and then to run it but not very often, and in anycase only for 15mins or so. He wants to put it back on the road (or is hoping to). I was just wondering what sort of things are likely to need replacing on it? The exhaust is rusting and flaking underneath the back boxes so that need to go. Just want a rough idea of what may need replacing and how much. Cheers

ok silly question number two. still having fun with new car(90T/T). have noticed green wire disappearing into wooden panel in passenger footwell.(ECU??). not had a chance to investigate yet, anyone know wot it might be for? cheers nick

i took my exhausts of last week to replace the prop center bearing and found that my cats have been degutted now the car seems to run ok but it allways smells like its runnning rich are these related or am i barking up the wrong tree

my z isnt going round corners very well its a jap tt 90/91 i have replaced the rear shocks with gen parts which made it beter but its still shit ive tried bouncing the fronts but they seem prity firm any ideas ??

I have in the past owned 2 300zx's, the first in 2001 (a silver 1990 TT that I paid £6500 for) that drove like a dream until I realised that the 0-60 time was not really meant to be executed on wet roads and wrapped the car round a tree. Earlier this year, with my limited budget of £3500, I bought a 300zx N/A. Whenever i leave the car after a drive, i check under the engine & the top rad hose is all sucked in. I undo rad cap & it goes back? any ideas??

I have a bonnet vent which when it rains it drips water on the temp sensor area. After the recent rain my car have started running a little lumpy at idle. Also when I first start it from cold it idles at 1,5krpm which is normal but the fan comes on, then when I rev it a little i.e. up to 1,750rpm and the acceleration drops the fan goes off. I have check ECU codes and I got the all clear. ConZult shows a slightly lazy O2 sensor but everything else looks fine. Apart from the obvious i.e. clean/check all connectors, change O2 sensors. Does this diagnosis ring any bells ?

I have autoglass coming out on tuesday to see if they can repair my windscreen, £65.51 (im not covered by insurance) In the event it isn't repairable I've been quoted £342.60 for a OEM replacement part, Can anyone recommend a cheaper route :) (its UK glass and I want to keep the blue tint) Cheers guys.

picked up 1990T/T on friday. 2 days of grinning later:D, decided to change crap jap rubber with some decent stuff. does anyone know the correct pressures for these tyre sizes 235/45x17 & 255/40x17 tyre fitter put in 32 & 33 psi but think thats too much! cheers nick

i think my steering speed sensor is faulty as its working at low speeds very unerving it is too, can they be fixed or do i need a new one

Driving to work this morning, could not get the bloody windows to clear up. Hot air coming out of the vents though??? Just check the driver's footwell and the carpet is soaking wet and I can smell coolant. Also, the RAD coolant level has dropped dramatically and is very low. Just a hose or something worse??? :cry: Any advise would be great.....

My car is pulling very heavy to the left, now i had the wheel alighnment done and she is still pulling left could it be tyres worn un even it is jap tyres and are cracked quite a bit on one side i can't remember which side at the moment. Any idea:confused: :confused:

Hi guys and guls I have been experiencing irregular ideling on my Z. I have first experienced this when i was driving back from Southampton, when the car got to normal working temperature and i stop at trafic lights the revs drop to below 500 rpm or almost stalls and then jumps up to 1200 then down to normal, but when i stand at a red travic light for a long time the revs will drop to 500 rpm and then up to 1500 rpm continuesly untill i pull away the car misfires for a few seconds then go like hell. Could it be a leak on the intake manifold or is it more serious than that or simplier. Have anyone got some advice. Exuse my spelling i'm a dodgy South African…
