is the fuel pressure regulator prone for pi$$in petrol out the pipe that leads from the bottom of it? mine seems to spray out loads on start up for about 20 seconds then stops, im pretty sure its coming out the metal pipe that fits inside it, rather than the pipe that joins the rubber hose, but it is hard to tell.

Hi all I've searched but cannot find anything that matches what my Zed has just gone and done.:cry: It has just dumped all of its power steering fluid when i parked up after a short drive,so i dropped it round to my local garage to see if it was a high pressure hose or a clip that had come off. Having checked it they are at a loss as when the engine is running there are no leaks or loss of fluid or power assistance, however, as soon as the engine is switched off the fluid spews out the top of the reservoir and from the seal around the pulley shaft.:eek: Have you ever heard of this before or any idea so i can point my guy in the right direction, its almost as if a pressu…

Guys, In the latest of my issues with the most unreliable car in the world, the 300ZX, I still love it though......well anyway, I seem to lose water like theres no tomorrow, it isnt running under the car as Jeff @ Zedworld has had it up on the ramps and he cannot see where the water is going. He fitted me a new higher pressure cap to see if this helps but two days later, I had to put 4 litres of water back in. Help guys, where the hell is it going, jeff says theres no signs of it leaking from the engine and no signs of where its been dripping?!?!??!?!?!!?!?!?!? :confused: Sitting in the car this morning,i decided i want a 2 or possibly 3 guages in a pod mount...Now normally i would not worry about this but i do not want to snap anything so where do you start,,,how do you get the wires down the pillar and then into the dash without making a mess of it ,,,,,help guyz ,,,some direction needed , i`m good with mechanical stuff,,,,,bad with interior plastic:rolleyes: And is there a way through the bulk head ,,its dark under there,,,:slap: ,,without drilling a new hole:cry: ,,,,help,,,???

Does anybody know how to re-route the little water pipes at the back of the plenum so that they dont go through the throttle bodies? I saw a guide a bit back but cant seem to find it now. Cheers all:D:dance:

Hi All, As we all know, the OEM 55W dip beam bulbs could have been manufactured by "Joe Lucas, Prince of Darkness " (old biker joke from old biker). I got a pair of 85W H3C from the US and they seemed marginally better. Has anyone got good things to say about the PIAA 55W H3Cs described as "Platinum Superwhite"? compared to the OEM? (Yes I know I should have the HID but can't afford it! :D ) TIA - Gio

For a non turbo which is the best filter i can use and what should i pay for it?

I've a non turbo Fairlady but want to make it as fast as possible,i've changed the pipes to Mongoose and about to buy a filter what should i get and what else can i do to make it faster?????? And don't say sell it and buy a TT.............

bought these k&n racing filters to go on the se-nissan maxiflow twin pop kit, and on the box it says:- for off road use only and marine applications not for emission controlled vehicles !! are they safe to use on my zed?? its a 1990 with a de-cat so emmisions are not that much of a problem!!

Well, now Im happy with the power on the car (For now), thought I would look at the suspension. I thought the suspension was standard, but it has harder than normal springs. Good for cornering, bad for a smooth ride. With the 99 front end the car seems a lot lower, hits speed bumps more often, though only a v light scrape. How far have you managed to lower your car, without sacrificing too much every day usability?

Have not posted anything in the Help section for months now two problems in two days :( Car overheated big time today 107c , steam pooring out the rad cap and all over the floor. and it went from 80c to 107c in about a 1.5 miles Last time the car overheated about 6 weeks ago the expansion tank was full to the top, emptied it out and all has been fine since , it now seems its full up again Anybody have any ideas why the expansion tank would fill up completely and not go down , and why the sudden overheat ??

I need the pair of 5 bolt gaskets that go between a T28 and the exhaust downpipe. I think I can get the 200SX S14 gasket but I'm not sure? Anybody know the part number or where I can get a service diagram? Had a look at SXOC.co.uk but it looks like I have to pay to join? Chris.

I ask me some questions about the power increase on my Z. If I increase the pressure from 10 to 14 PSI, it will generate some reliability problems, yes or no? To increase the pressure, what is the best device? Gas reducer or boost jet in pipes? Thanks in advance for your advices. Zyx300

Hi all A warning to you all. In my opinion, do not use the follwing so called insurance specialists for the 300zx. Houghton Insurance Brokers and Chaucer Insurance. The reason being that I cancelled my insurance with them for the 300 zx after 33 days cover. I paid £433 up front for an annual policy. I received £233 back. I lost nearly 50% for only 33 days cover. What a rip off. It took them 7 weeks to give me my refund only after the Financial Ombudsmen got involved. So in my opinion do not use either and also pay the insurance by monthly premiums. If i had done that i would have just cancelled the direct debit. Oh yes, and dont…

I have my big end failed TT engine in my back yard! It has all the bits on it + TTs good cylinder heads ect ect Would you! Scrap it? Or Consider a rebuild?
