Well the standard ones are pretty good - when the calipers are working right and you have decent pads. However, many are probably partially seized with glazed discs, shite pads, grotty fluid etc ...

SE do break upgrades depending on your wheel size, I run brembo's off an R33 which are good and look excellent but i'm not looking forward to the time when i need to change the discs.

Alex,

Don't worry too much - I have found a place about 5 miles from my gaff that supplies dba discs - in fact, I have the same ones that you do, and the price was surprisingly reasonable, given what I was originally told about the discs on your car

Try here nice gold brakes

i've noted the company for future.

Thanks chaps,

The only reason im changing the stock jobbies is because there warped.

Only got standard wheels on so will have to be the same diamater as the stock discs.

Dont mind spending the cash:confused: on some top quality discs and pads.

Let me know what you'd do.

Ta Rich:D

HI Rich,

if you've got the cash get yourself a nice pair of wheels - it makes all the difference to the look of the car.

Alex

3G brakes do a big disc conversion to 330m groved rotors with caliper bracket and green stuff/ black stuff pads/ and race spec fluid with rear discs at standard size for around 650 quid these discs come with anodised bell mounts in red or black

check out their web site

I'm thinking of a set of wheels but not yet as i only got the car a couple of days ago. The brakes need doing asap so there number 1 priority.

Steve

Only going to be doing a bit of fast road driving (honest guv) so maybe a 330mm setup might be a bit too much, but you never know.:D

Thanks again

Give GPS a ring when you need to change them, he can supply you with a set of Replica brembo's (plain discs) for around £300.
