is the fuel pressure regulator prone for pi$$in petrol out the pipe that leads from the bottom of it? mine seems to spray out loads on start up for about 20 seconds then stops, im pretty sure its coming out the metal pipe that fits inside it, rather than the pipe that joins the rubber hose, but it is hard to tell.

Mine did that and it was just the 2 inch long piece of hose that joins it underneath.

Take it off and replace the bits of fuel hose, only costs a couple of quid. It could be a faulty regulator but the pipe below is metal and part of the fuel rail so it won't be that.

I found out the hard way after my local shite garage replaced the regulator (£85 ish I think!) and still fitted the same old split hose!
