Seen a nice looking (from the photo) UK K reg TT for £3650... advert states however that the car had "light front damage" which is now repaired.

as this is well below my budget is this worth looking at or to be avoided at all costs?

Just make sure you do an HPI first - could be the best £40 you spend!

Other than that - I'd recommend getting it looked at by someone who knows what their talking about.

(Might rule out most of us on this forum!!! )

HPI goes without saying these days... suppose it really depends on how "light" is light front damage... i dont really have much knowledge on car chassis etc and how they could be affected by impacts/crashes.. car is a private sale as well so i suppose this could make it a bit more dodgy.

If interested in this Z & in bugget there are things you can check before you buy or make an offer.

Is the car near you & is it local?

Check the garage the repair work was carried out & bills ect, like wheel align'ment, respray, parts.

How long the guy owned it.

Past service history ect with bills.

Recent parts changed, last oil change.

Make a tick list of questions to ask, if the guy answers them ok

then check the docs out then test drive for an hour!

OMG! does this sound crap or wat?

I hope this gives U ideas. And take someone who nows Zs too!

Not ment too sound like u had not thought about any of this!

Arthur. good hunting!

bit ropey that just get a jap no rot better spec:D

21 driving an imported 300zx :D

Sure my insurance company would love that..... its a real pain but i am limited to a UK car at the moment.

I'd take a look at it and try take someone local off the forum with you who knows Z's.

Might be worth getting the AA / RAC to do one of their checks if you like it.

Will cost a few quid but if all's well you might get a bargain.
