Iv seen on some of the new 300zx's that there headlights have a silver lining on the inside instead of the black plastic we have. (either that or im seeing things) Does any1 know where we can get these from as i reckon they would look well nice. Also i dont care of the headlights have HID or not aslong as there inner lining is silver (chrome look/reflective silver) Cheers Fas P.s. i know whifbitz do the HID kit but thats nopt what i want.

Right my engine has screwed up and i am getting another one so i thought i`ll get some mods done before i put i another engine. Basically, i need to get a few things but dont know which or what ones to get so your help is needed. 1. Looking to upgrade turbos. not looking for anything super and expensive. just something to increase performance without blowing another engine? 2. thinking of getting the ECU uprated. Any suggestions on chips etc. 3. Whats the best air filter to get (are the twin cone ones any good?) 4. Need to get a good boost controller and turbo timer. Can someone tell me the easiest way to black out the reverse lights???????? Tinted gels or spray?

just ordered my new gear box mount to hopfully sort out my vibration problems. Is there any particular tricks or techniques for fitting one? Do I have to support the gear box while I'm doing it? Its an NA manual if that makes any difference Cheers David

Which injector sizes are available for a 91 TT? I did a search, but can't seem to find the messages that tell you this, although I'm sure they are there somewhere. Was it 440, 550 or 555, 660, 720, 850? Or were some of these for later models only? Is it only around 850 that they affect drivability - and is this just because of less smoothness at low revs?

Bought my Zed about 2 months ago now. Had a few niggles and they have been sorted (with a lot of guidence from you guys/gals) but one problem remains... When applying lots of pedal she will go like a rocket, but on other occasions (more often than not) it definatley has a lot less power and has no real kick. Also when just applying a little bit of pedal it sounds as if the engine is doing quite a bit of work but not pulling much. Again this is intermitent.... I have tried all the usual cleaning of sensors, TB's etc. and the ecu diag returned 55. It is quite difficult to explain the problem and really need (beg)someone to give her a drive... …

Going to change my thermostat. Has any one got any tips on how to do it? Is there much I have to take off or is it just the 2 rad pipes coming from the front of the engine? Will I need any gaskets or sealent? Stuart

a few months back one of my turbos blew quite badly while i was driving (pushing the car pretty hard), and when i came to a stop the car was miss firing pretty badly, causing the car to shake noticably. the revs would fall till the car would nearly stall, but then pick up again. this would continue for a few minutes, then the car would run pretty normally again (except for the rattling from the turbo!) since then the few times i have driven the car, it has seemed to fire properly on all cylinders (although it is a bit hard to tell when you cant push the car properly due to the damaged turbo). i asked the mechanic who is changing the turbos to check over th…

OK! With all the chat about turbos lately, I thought I would start off! I think the defining factors for most people are Cost and Driveability, i.e. Lag! So here are my choices with cost being the deciding factor initially! £1kish Turbos to replace the stock items with, Smithys with uprated seals! £2kish Pe1420's 500bhp on tap with nigh on stock lag £3kish JWT 535's what's the point, get 500BHP for a grand less with pe's £3kish PE1820's 600+BHP not proven yet, have yet to be fitted and proved with uprated manifolds! £4kish TD05-18G mega HP 600RWHP Laggy but you have to make the sacrifice for BHP eventually! What d'ya reckon?

I currently own 2 MR2s and and looking for either a Zed or a Supra for the weekend.....possibly both....... What are the running costs like for a Zed ?

And looking out for certain types of veichles with lights on their roof.

I recently sold my car on Ebay to an Australin bidder who has already paid me but has asked me to transport the car (at his expense) to the shipping company's warehouse in East London. However, the car is now without tax and insurance so will need to be transported by a vehicle carrier (from Bristol to East London). Can anyone recommend a good reasonably priced company???

Just fitted full energy suspension poly bush kit. Some of the bushes are an absolute bugger to do, but probably worth the effort. Probably took me about 10 hours to do, but that was dropping the subrframe and taking off the hubs etc too so that I could get it into the press. Much less wheel hop on launch and the whole car definately feels tighter. Finally some feedback through the wheel too. Only downside is alot more transmission noise inside the car, particularly with my noisy plate diff, and slightly harsher ride. Reackon I can live with that though :D

Anyone know how to get window tints off. Jap who had my car decided a 300zx van would look good and blacked out the rear quarters and screen. Cheers

Hi all, Because of the MR2 Drivers club forum being down at the moment I need some help from you guys if you can. Before I get a load of crap for being the "enemy" I do actually have a Zed coming from Japan at the moment and am selling my MR2 turbo to fund it. Anyway, to my problem. I am having trouble with the central locking on my car. When I lock the car with the key I can only get the drivers door to lock and the passengers door won't. I have manged to fix the problem for a few days at a time by spraying WD40 in the lock but now that does not even work. I really need to fix it to shift the car if I can so any advice on how I could remedy it would be most apprec…

friend has 300ZX Z32, non T..prob is if you touch the throttle at all on cold start-up it'll flood. Once running, there's no misfire but you have to baby it to accelerate, if you try, it stalls, so... we've taken a couple of coilpacks out, and found the plastic just before the end has cracks in it. To me this is where some of the spark is going, hence the rich running and stalling...... what do u guys think? and also, anywhere good to buy these coilpacks at a good price please. les

Two questions really:p Firstly on the wastegate actuator hose one end goes to the boost controller the other end goes the actuator then there is a third hose teed off that goes to something else , what does it plumb in to , should this hose still be connected if using a boost controller , next I can only see this third hose on the passenger side actuator is there one on the drivers side ??
