had me APEXI boost controler fitted at SE on friday fitting was top notch. Initial test run before any settings made on my blitz gauge read 1.58hkpa yes too muchi know and on the apexi it went up to 1.34mmhg can any one tell me how many psi this is for both readings please i hope they come out as the same. the unit was brand new unit sealed and came with a dodgy boost solonoid after removing the solonoid my boost returned to 1.15hkpa or 0.95mmhg what is it at now in psi please. cheers "T"......

I know this is slightly anorakey but I want to change the piping under the hood. Can anyone tell me what the internal diameter for the vacuum hosing and petrol piping is. I thing the vacuum pipes are 4mm but not sure due to wear and tear. Not sure what the petrol pipes are at all. I think it's time for a bit of braiding and silicon!!!:D :D :D

Hi Guys just wondering if anybody has had a Zed superchipped - They can chip your car for around £500 with a claimed increase of 70Bhp. Just wondered if it is worth it or playing safe and go the route of a SE / JWT chip and a boost controller... Oh and one more thing what sorts of gains would I be seeing on a UK zed - I reckon 350ish with an induction kit & exhaust?

Hello again, well the car is almost running nicely. It's been to SE Nissan and Options Motorsport, can't honestly say im impressed with either so am looking for another place to take my car. Keep trying Zedworld but no answer on his phone. Anyway, the thing that is really doing my head in is the rattles!!! Do all Zed's have annoying squeaks and rattles or just mine. I have lowered suspension which is pretty damn hard and the main amount of rattles come from the door cards and rear trim. Is there a company that will fix this or do I just have to turn the stereo up really loud???

How difficult is it to fit front bumper, side skirts and a rear spoiler ? Do they all have to be sprayed after fitting in place ? Thanks John

When sitting in the car with just the ignition on (engine off) there was a strange muffled DOOOOONG noise from behind the dash, it does this about every ten seconds, am i the only one with this noise, or is it something we share :confused:

If fitting a wide body kit the rear wheels need to come out more, do you use a spacer and if so how big and/or do you need wider wheels?

I have fitted a centre brakelight! My problem is, it did not come with bulbs. Will someone be kind to me & tell me where I can get the bulbs from!! (it is off a Z!)

Over the last couple of weeks I have noticed a faint whistle that rises with engine speed. It doesn't do it all the time and there appears to be no pattern (engine hot,cold etc etc). I realised it was only inside the car as it couldn't be heard with windows down (phew, not the turbos:) ) I turned down the stereo to hear it better and switched a/c off to see if it was the motor. Not that However when I turned the stereo vol. to zero, it stopped. Found it!!!:) Just turning vol to 1 (ie not able to hear radio), the whistle returned. It does it with some CDs not others and some radio stations, not others. Any suggestions?:confused:

Ok, so like a few others at the moment I'm considering a 'Z'. I've read the buying guide - not scared me off LOL I'm looking for TT,man, >=93, SS zorst, nice wheels, spoiler, nice front, etc, etc. I'd like one like Faisal/Crazy Eddie/Dave W/Mac 1 - know one forsale ? (The problem - Price around £5/6K) Can anyone advise about servicing near to Loughborough (Tamworth - Zedworld would be ok for me) Insurance - Group 20 I know (not a problem), can someone explin about 'classic' (looking at doing about 8K) Anyone near Loughborough able to let me take a look (give me a go) at their Z ? (I can travel 20 odd miles if req. [M.Harb/Lutt/county wide])…

Any one know roughly what boost pressure I should run ? I have a 1991 Twin Turbo with HKS turbos, standard intercoolers, a mines vx-rom chip, hks dump valves, a straight through exhaust, Blitz Air Filter and a HKS EVC IV boost controller. I was thinking of setting it to 1.00 kg/cm2 which is 0.97 bar/14.1 psi for the low setting and 1.15kg/cm2 which is 1.13 bar/16.3psi for the high setting and 1.25 kg/cm2 which is 1.22bar/17.7psi as my safety cut off/alarm ? What are other people running with a setup like this ? I will soon be installing an Apexi S-AFC II which is in my bedroom at the mo ! Cheers, Olly.

I guess that it's that grey thing held on with three bolts at the front of the nearside bank. Q is it ok to remove that to get at the connection or better to remove the pipes above it and pull the connector off with the cas in situ?

Saw a black / blue zed (reg BIG PEP)drive past my car in Hinckley a couple of times tonight (I was in the liton tree pub). If you hadnt been in a zed id of worried you were car theives!!! Im gonna get a custom exhaust done when the car comes out the bodyshop. Im going to be de-catting it but im not sure about the cat sensors what do we do with them. Some have told me to cut them away and not bother with them. The car is standard but im looking to beef up the power to about 380bhp but no more later on the year (boost controller ,chip, air filter, and a few subtile mods for the engine here and there etc etc) What do i do with the cat sensors Also what size exhaust pipe should i use iv been told that serious powered turbo cars should have 3.5" but iv been told to get 3" which would be best suited for my car with the power that i want. I've been having a problem with my clutch for ages now, after driving throughout the day the biting point moves out towards you until it will start slipping. The next day it will be fine and again gets worse as the day goes on. First thing i did was to fit a nice RPS jobby of smithy's. Helped a little but problem still there. I read about a problem with the earlier master cylinders causing this so i got a new one from MJP. Again this made no difference at all. What could be causing this? It baffles me. Any loss of fluid would give difficulty changing gear not slipping. Ideas??

Anyone ever had their steering rack overhauled. Mine has lift in one side where the track rod end 'rod' comes out the rack as though the ball end is worn. Cheers John Crisp

I need a four wheel alignment on my car, can i take this anywhere and get it done or does the four wheel steering mean i need a specialist, also apparently my camber angles are all wrong, would this be put right with the wheel alignment:confused:

Changed front brake pads last week great! Old ones naff! I still have got wheel judder on braking!! Naff Naff! Going to change bushes with poly ones and should I do front discs as well? Think I get poly bushes from Z centre? & discs from Berks? My discs look okay.

She's done it again. Perfectly fine yesterday, starts on the first revolution. Today, just spins but no fire.
