Just working on the final leg of me website and could do with the following pics if anyone is interested in seeing their car on my site. 1) A fairly stock looking Zed (bodywork wise) 2 nice clear pics from 2 different angles, but not too big. 2) Some engine pics of Zeds with my products on, don't matter if it's hard pipes, rad pipes, fuel line kit or Slam panel, looking for a gallery of customers cars. Mail me smithy@manx.net if you have any. cheers smithy

Hiya all Have been surfing the site for a couple of weeks now and have just bought a 92 twin turbo. Its metallic grey and a jap import. Has a few probs - seem to be the usual ones - o/s window not working ( fixed - dry solder inside relay ) Speedo intermittent ( works for about 5 miles, goes haywire, and then dies until car is left to stand for about 10mins. ) Power steering switches off after speedo dies and then hicas light comes on. ( i presume this is all related to the hicas having no speed input !) Shes very tidy, and i will post some pics up if anyones interested. Andy

Not having a good day today! Terrible gale force winds last night. My car alarm went off at around 1am this morning. Got up to check, all okay. Got in the car this morning and closed my door and the back window had caved in!!! Got out to find a tile from next door's roof had fallen off in the wind and struck my back window!!! Anyway, need to get it fixed quick so contacted my insurance (Adrian Flux). £50 excess on the policy for glass and they will cover up to £500. They got National Windscreens to call me and they quoted £697 (5 hour job in the workshop!) for the repair and they informed me the insurance company will only pay £200. I got this cleared up with AFlu…

About 3 weeks ago I did a boost leak test and fixed various leaks which i fixed , to get to one of the leaks I had to remove the TPS. Put it all back together and adjusted the TPS to 0.45 , now the problem I have is that the TPS voltage keeps moving up to 0.5 so I adjust it back to 0.45 , this has happened 4 times now and I physically do not have any more movement on the adjuster on the TPS. The TPS is only 6 months old and the car has only done 2k since i fitted it. Before I took it off and fixed the boost leaks it was rock steady at 0.45 all the time. Anybody know why the voltage would move without adjusting the TPS itself ??? Ryan

After 2 years I have finally got a full rebuild of my TT SWB auto Box Its finally selecting all gears but I still have problems When flooring it goes to redline in whatever gear it is in but refuses to drop to next gear. to drop I have to take my foot off the accelerator monenterily and it drops OK. The guy who did the box said my TPS isnt set up correctly so went home and tested it. I seem to be getting ridiculous values of about 8V when with throttle closed and oscilating between 9 to 13 on open throttle. I am reading between middle pin and ground. Does it sound Like I need a new TPS, does it prevent shifting under full throttle or is there more work…

The actual rad is fine but started leaking from the top hose yesterday. So i unscrewed the jubilee clip from the top hose and pulled it off the rad and the bits of broken plastic from the rad inlet fell to bits! Maybe previous over tightened the jubilee clip, dunno. But i guess i need a whole new rad , so does anyone know the best place to get one? Thanks, Trev.

evening all, just wondering whats best. I have had my jap 91 tt auto for about 9 months now and been slowley changing all the service bits (43,000) ie autobox fluid, fuel filter, air filter, tps, pipes, etc the list goes on and on. I have now got a code 34 (det sensor)? Its always been ok on super unleaded with the jap plugs in, but i changed to the uk ones anyway. without condeming the det sensor, is there anything i can try? the car feels awfull when in saftey boost (real heavy and no edge) thanks for any help?? JIM.:( :(

Having seen the current prices of Zeds online and in autotrader i'm wondering whether it's better for me finacially to break my Zed or sell it. It requires the oil pump replacing due to it's casting being damaged by a garage trying to prise off the pulley. It also requires a full set of locks. (No key for the drivers door.) It has a little bit of the obligatory bubbling under the rear spoiler. It is a 1990 black import twinturbo, with 45000 miles on the clock. I rebuilt the engine fully after it popped a head gasket two years ago. (used the original turbos.) It has a super megaphone exhaust and a HKS intake. Oh, not a spot of rust either! I converte…

Fitted my JWT dual POP on Saturday, bit of a tight squeeze but not too bad, however I did have a couple of issues...... 1. After removing my AFM from the T piece, I discovered the mesh on the back was in bits and had most probably been shooting metal filaments at my turbo's for at least a couple of thousand miles...... 2. Upon fitting the 555/dual pop chip my car now detts at about 8psi...........needless to say I'm somewhat unimpressed by this - any suggestions??

Hi all Continuing fast idle problem. (uk TT auto) After previous post, (cleaned TB's 3-4 weeks/1500 miles ago) and idle has been around 1000rpm since. I acted on the advice last given and cleaned the idle control valve thingy today. I reset the ECU (disconnected battery for 1.25 hours. I initially removed the two plugs from ECU but as engine still started, I didn't know if they were the right ones so played safe with battery disconnection too). I also cleaned the TPS connectors while waiting for good measure. Anyway when all done, I started the car and let it warm up. Woohoo, approx 700rpm idle:) I went for a drive of 3 miles or so and when I got h…
