Wearing my engineers hat I'm not wild about putting 8.5" x 18" on the front. Am I being too cautious? I've a chance of some alloys at a good price but I don't want to overload the front end.

Can anyone help me sort out where to fit my secondry gearbox cooler?? I have brought a 2nd hand uk engine oil cooler which i fit somewhere & connect to cool the engine(as it is larger than my import one). The redundant engine oil cooler then gets connected to the gearbox (doing away with the crap radiator one)? That way you upgrade both coolers which make sense! But where the fock do you fit this bigger one??? I could do with some advice as it is driving me rounnd the benddddddddddddd!!

Driving home for lunch in my manual Jap 300zx, I moved the gear lever into third and it suddenly dropped a couple of inches. I managed to get home okay, but the lever 'bounced' every time I changed gear. On getting home I took the centre console off to have a quick look. It appears that something has snapped, leaving the gear lever 'floating'. Does anyone know what I mean, and if so how do I repair it? Is this going to be easy, can I glue it/replace it? Please don't tell me I need a new gear box as it still changes through the gears fine. Thanks in advance for your help. Colin

I've had a quick search on the forum and can't find what i'm looking for... What tyre sizes can you stretch to on the standard alloys? If you cant really go above the standard than I'll start looking for some new 18" ones, but i'd like to know what I can do with the standard first... Cheers guys Ben.

I have just had a complete low mileage TT engine placed in my Z. My question is this ! Is there any difference in spec in the engines from a UK to an Import? Is this a dumb question

Hi All, Would be interested to know, where any of you have fitted auto oil coolers. I'm thinking of fitting mine against rear of main rad in the space between the rad and main fan. This will be the neatest route (and shortest piping) in my opinion, but any feedback re, cooling efficiency and effect of positioning welcome.. I've seen a lot fitted right up front before the secondary/aircon fan, but this looks to impede air flow in that area. Paul N

I noticed a couple of cracks on my stock wing the other week, so I put a request through the internet breakers for a wing. 5 minutes later I got a call of a place with a Zeemax wing in stock for just £80. Bargain I thought, so I ordered it. Today, the entire boot lid, with glass and the Zeemax spoiler turned up. This long winded story leads me to my question... While taking off the wing (which I haven't finished yet) I noticed that it seems to be held on by six screws and gallons of silicon sealant or similar. It's taking me ages to get the sealant off so that I can remove the wing (probably why the breakers just sent me the whole thing). …

MOT just failed on the beast. They say that there is movement of the rear wheels (not the 4w steering) and that the rear bushes are shot. This is the smaller bushes on the wheel hubs. Sure enough they look like the rubber is corroded on them. They don't want to do the job though as they reckon you might need to take the hubs out to change em, and suggested getting nissan to do it... so 2 rubber bushes... cost 42.50 + vat each !! Then... fitting.. IF they can do it without taking hubs off.. 1 hour each side. If need to take hubs off, additional 2 hours each side. They won't know if they need to take hubs off until they have failed to not take…

Cheers John Crisp

I'm considering buying and Apexi AVC-R and had a couple of questions for those "in the know".. 1. Where have people mounted this unit. I've seen it in the lower DIN slot and this would be favourite for me. A bit worried about it being visible to thieving scrotes though  2. Heard a few worries about reliability. Has anyone had any specific problems? 3. I've had the SE Boost upgrade carried out already. Will the controller simply override/replace this or do I have to do anything clever to disable this? Does anyone know what SE actually do to the car when they carry out their upgrade? 4. Does the unit operate/display in PSI? The manual an…

Just a quicky. Along the drivers side plenum chamber there is two thin metal tubes with rubber pipes going to the throttle body (just behind the butterfly valves) and somewhere else. Whilst fixing car I took the little pipe that goes down to the drivers side intake pipe and also the other little pipe off. Trouble is I can't remember which pipe goes to which tube. Can someone please have a quick look and let me know. Doesn't seem to make any difference in running either way round.
