I noticed a couple of cracks on my stock wing the other week, so I put a request through the internet breakers for a wing. 5 minutes later I got a call of a place with a Zeemax wing in stock for just £80. :dance: Bargain I thought, so I ordered it. Today, the entire boot lid, with glass and the Zeemax spoiler turned up. This long winded story leads me to my question... While taking off the wing (which I haven't finished yet) I noticed that it seems to be held on by six screws and gallons of silicon sealant or similar. It's taking me ages to get the sealant off so that I can remove the wing (probably why the breakers just sent me the whole thing). …

Does anyone knows how can I get the code # for the purple metallic colour that was released in Japan starting in 1997? I had a friend who brought a brochure in japanese of the fairlady 300zx and it had this colour wich is beautiful! is it possibly that if I go to Nissan dealer and ask them to re-spray with this particular colour they could special order the paint from Nissan in japan?? what estimated price would all this cost??? would appreciate all your info on this matter, Thanx guys! gals!!:)

In my search for a 300zx I am thinking about if I should get a 2 seater wich seems to look nicer or a 2x2 wich is more stabled, any advice on this mates? thanks!;)

MOT just failed on the beast. They say that there is movement of the rear wheels (not the 4w steering) and that the rear bushes are shot. This is the smaller bushes on the wheel hubs. Sure enough they look like the rubber is corroded on them. They don't want to do the job though as they reckon you might need to take the hubs out to change em, and suggested getting nissan to do it... so 2 rubber bushes... cost 42.50 + vat each !! Then... fitting.. IF they can do it without taking hubs off.. 1 hour each side. If need to take hubs off, additional 2 hours each side. They won't know if they need to take hubs off until they have failed to not take…

Does the 300 have any form of load sensing valve to cut the brake pressure to the rear while the car only has one occupant in it and increases brake pressure when 2 occupants and 2 smaller occupants are in the rear.....when i go for a run my front brake discs are quite hot but the back ones can be touched no problem. I need some pics of how the hell im goin to fit 2x 12 inch subs in my boot. A joiner i know wants me to come up with some ideas for him to do my car. Has anyone got any pics of their install? Just a quicky. Along the drivers side plenum chamber there is two thin metal tubes with rubber pipes going to the throttle body (just behind the butterfly valves) and somewhere else. Whilst fixing car I took the little pipe that goes down to the drivers side intake pipe and also the other little pipe off. Trouble is I can't remember which pipe goes to which tube. Can someone please have a quick look and let me know. Doesn't seem to make any difference in running either way round.

This isn't a new problem, I've just noticed its not coming from where I thought it was originally. I was going over my engine bay today looking for PCV hoses that I have yet to fit and I thought id have a listen for the noise. Basically its a shrill noise at 1.5k and at 2.5k coming from the drivers side of the engine, its been there for 18months and I have no smoke on that side. My left bank smokes at Idle but we have pretty much narrowed it down to PCV hoses (thanks to duffer and smw1). Could it be a dodgy injector? after about 2 miles and once the engine is warmed up the noise dissapears and only reapears the follwing day when left toit over night. I only n…

Hi guys, need to call upon your knowlege again please. I am going to replace the super chip ecu soon with a JWT, what boost can I safely run with the JWT chip? The car is standard apart from the super chip and air filter. Also, I have noticed that some people using a SE chip, is this better than JWT? What are the differances? Thanks.

Recently my car has had a shaking/ juddering problem, it does this at about 100mph onwards, i have had new tyres put on all round and balancing, but the problem still exists. What can this be? pleaze help as i have a need for speed....

:dance: i recently went to purchase a set of front brake disks for my 1990 j-spec 300zx. what an arse ,why are these a different to all other z's and where is it possible to buy a set that actually fit . can anyone tell me where in this country they stock these early model disks already fitted two wrong types ,getting annoyed , just wanna give it some gas but i can't play with no brakes .

I was going to change the auto transmission fluid this weekend. I was wondering if anyone knows if the Jap (mine) pan gasket is the same as the UK gasket ? (In case I get blank looks from the local Nissan dealer) Is there anything else I should buy while Im there ? Thanks John

Hi y'all, I am looking for a photo from the front or front quarter of a silver ZX with OEM bumper (not 99 spec JDM) and number plate in UK position and matt black stripe filling in the gap between the sidelights (as stock). For example: this is "wrong": Because although the bumper is stock spec, the number plate is too low (dangling down when it "should" be between the sidelights) and the space between the sidelights "should" be matt black. The alloys that i'm looking at are blitz 03's very nice but they are advertised as fitting NISSAN SKYLINE/TOYOTA SUPRA/LEXUS 300, now i thought skylines have the same fitting etc at 300's but i didnt know about the supra?? Just in the process of replacing the heater matrix at the moment on my manual, (what a twat of a job!) Anyway, the carpets pretty damp and stinking of coolant. Could just give it a clean but I thought it could be an opertunity to fit a new one... Has anyone attemted, and succesfully cut a carpet to fit. I guess this would be tricky beacause of the shape, or know of where I could by a Pre- shaped one. Am after a cream colour. Thanks Andy
