One thing I will miss about my MR2 turbo when I sell it to get my Zed is the lovely comfy leather/alacantra.

I have spent a lifetime trying to like tweed but it just isn't my bag and my ZX unfortunatly doesn't have the leather option so I was just wondering if I would be able to get some decent MR2 seats and put em in the Zed.

Does anyone know if other seats will go in? I would just find some leather Zed ones bu the ones I have seen are all in crap condition.

 

Any advice greatfully received.

All series 2 UK Zeds (1993) onwards have the leather / alcantara interior and I believe that it was an option on the imports.

 

Have a look in AndyZ's section in the Traders' Forums - he may have a leather interior going for sale, or will be able to get one soon.

Justin, you'll also find plenty of companies specialising in re-fitting interiors. Yhis way you can get something that doesn't just look like a standard leather trim (if you spend enough money), check out mine via the link below, (and it only cost £1600!):dance:

You can refurbish it with a kit from the Z Centre - look in Traders Section.

Mr2 seats don't compare to zed seats, I get still after abuot 30 minutes in an MR2 whereas in my zed I can sit for hours at a time :)

Looks like the most practical option:)

There are also write ups on the net on how to replace the tweed on the doorcards and cockpit with leather. Many people have done it and always looks good finish. Its a pitty some of the colours people use sometimes :eek:
