The Posidrive is a dummy Q and A session continues!!!! I have my suspicions about the fuel pressure control system. If you disconnect either of the vacuum lines to the to the fuel pressure regulator/damper would you expect to hear any change in the angine note?

If I open the throttle eith slowly or rapidly to increase thr rpm to about 2000 from idle there is always am initial sound like very rapid sparking from somewhere under the bonnet. Never appears at any other time. Panic. What is it. She accelerates like a pile of crap at the moment

There is a vacuum hose from the balance tube that goes to the vacuum guage that also goes on to a solenoid. Which solenoid does it go to? Interestingly, my engine sound which is a bit rough sounds much smoother if I pinch this line closed with my fingers

I saw a Z yesterday in Ipswich which had a peice of carbon fibre stuff across the whole of the rear lights (one side of car to other) with circle holes cut out for brake lights, etc. It had 'Z' embossed in the middle of it.
