Some of you may have read the goings on in the Tech forum as a result of Danny posting about the availability of the new ConZult software/hardware!

 

Right, firstly this has been created/developed by Eric(Lymon & Chums) as a very, very close if not perfect replica of Nissans very own Consult software/hardware which is what Nissan use to test your car when you have a problem with it.

 

Most Nissan dealers will charge you around 30+ squids for the privilege of having this carried out. Hardware they use is unique to Nissan although the software has been tweaked and frigged from the OBD(On Board Diagnostic) standards that most modern day car manufacturers now use.

 

My beef is this, Eric and his mates have spent alot of time developing this software and as I remember the first I saw of this was last year, just after TRAX so that's a good 9 months ago.

 

So this has been eagerly awaited to say the least. Why is it that when ZedWorld has been appointed to be the UK distributor the Usual Suspects throw their toys out of the pram?

 

It makes sense to me, Phuong has been appointed to distribute in the US at his company GR Racing, DTA in Europe(I think, stand to be corrected) and ZedWorld over here in Blightey.

 

Nissan Consult Computers are valued at thousands of pounds and to be perfectly honest if you can get one you are a) very lucky as they are not on general release to the public and b) fucking expensive as they are about 5-10K

 

So guys, what the fuck is the problem? Danny and Jeff are giving you and me the chance to have this at our fingertips for a mere 235/250 GBP!!!

 

Where would we be running these bitch expensive to run cars without people like Johnny(GPS), Smithy(Cybercraft), Jeff & Danny(ZedWorld), SE, Hiteq, Z Centre???

 

Come on, stop being such nit picking fuckers and accept it, you don't have to buy it! So why slate them for what they are selling?

 

Try buying a Blitz Reallize Cat back direct from RaceLogic and see how much you pay or a full Traction Control system!

 

I can honestly say that I have saved thousands of pounds buying from above mentioned companies because they are not out to screw us for as much as they can get...but just out to see us with smiles on our faces enjoying our expensive bloody cars!

 

IMHO, sue me if you like and up yer arse if you do!

 

P.S. if you can do better then step upto the challenge and show us what we've all been missing!

I have taken into account all i needed to consider. Just interested on how you know how many units ive sold?

And just to clarify my posistion on this, i have no hassle with anyone doing anything on here as it all saves us money in the long run ect.

Just think some people do take the piss with Craig thats all.

One point I would like to make, is the freedom of this forum.

 

Everyone gains from the "dealers" here. I have seen parts and accessories for sale on here that I didn't even know existed.

 

I have seen links added to a cheap deal or a nice car for sale that many of us would look at and be interested.

 

We don't won't to get into a situation like the SOARER CLUB, where if a link is posted to a dealers site, (out of interest to other members)Then it is swiftly remove like Nazi cencorship.

I found a sought after car for sale the other day ,only a 1000 made with active suspention.

Added the link and it was taken off so quick I don't think any of the poor baxxxds even know there was a car for sale.

 

That wouldn't happen here. That is why this is a genuine forum and the best.

Some so called forums/CLUBS (LMFAO) are run like businesses

Whether you want to deal with any particular company is your own choice.

 

On this forum at least we have the choice!

Rick, the Soarer Forum (I'm a moderator there) is not a public forum, you can join the club and apply then for the Forum inclusion. This is because the rule is no dealers or direct advertising except to fund the club.

 

That is why we have a public accessable for sale section, we actually have all the history of our cars and we 'vet' them prior to inclusion, we accept no cars for sale without checking their 'provenence' this ensures we have only good cars being sold, this has effectively stopped the terrifying fall in the resale value of the Soarer, sure you can get them cheap elsewhere, but you know only a little about them, buy from the site and you can be sure of buying a good'un.

 

The 'Active' is one of the most complex cars ever produced and so it is even more important not to buy a pup.

 

I can buy one for £4000, but spend £7000 putting it right with much hassle and time off the road, better to buy a checked out one with a known history for 8/10K and drive away with a beaut with no hassles.

 

Un-vetted cars for sale are removed, bloody good thing in my books.

Warren, I know you're not in it as a business as such but you must be trying to operate in the same way a business does - making a profit or at least covering your costs. If not you may as well just send us all cheques to buy our own intercoolers from Johhny!

If you haven't aimed to make a profit then believe me by the time a few people have pulled out and you have to send a faulty one back to the manufacturer (South Africa?) YOU WILL be out of pocket!

Our new arival means that I can't afford to buy things like that any more but the sharing thing makes it possible for me to have the use of one.

 

I'm sure these things have warranties on them and I cant see that whoever has it at the time is gonns treat it any worse than if it was soley their's.
