Hi Guys, Excuse my In Car Entertainment Naivity but I have never even fitted a stereo to a motor!! Many questions, on the convertible I have the original Jap radio and CD Changer. I have another CD changer and Radio from another car, the Cd Changer is a CDX 51 that I have to replace the original Sony one! My question is will the more modern one jump less and have better sound quality than original Sony issue. Secondly this CD changer has a seperate controll panel nothing to do with radio, would my new 2nd hand radio sony xr-c500rds still work with the old cd player. This new radio has 4 x 35W output yet I only have two door speakers, do I just igno…

so what do people think are the best brakes for the zed for under 500 squid? i have looked at 3g brakes, but they may wear out quick?

my recircs are blowing and im a bit worried that as they are broken ,it could damage my turbos? jaylox

ok, you guys know your shit. i need some pointers. i have just installed a bleed valve. [yes, thankyou, no lectures] now, i only get 6 or 7 psi out of my GTO and i wanted to see if i could get a bit more. i installed the valve in the correct place. and opened it a bit, then a bit more......then a bit more. and i could only register about 8 psi. anyone any ideas why this is? i think my aftermarket boost guage is pretty accurate. i think i installed the bleed valve correctly. why only 8 psi. with the amount i have the valve open it should have been bloody 30 psi! and the car didn;t feel that much faster than normal, so i am sure the guage is …

I'm still trying to tell if my gearbox is on it's way out... I get ok acceleration in 1st, slightly better in 2nd but still not stella, much better in 3rd, ok in 4th , ok in 5th. I can also only do about 60 in 2nd before it hits 6000rpm. Is this normal as I havn't been in another Zed to compare it. Herman

It passed without any problems at all.... In perfect working order!! The mechanic from FC Motors was calling the other guys over to look at the 'lack' of space in the engine bay, promting question of "how could you work on that?" and "Bet it shifts don't it?" Just a quick thank you Kris for sending me out the Zed oil filler cap, it looks the biz!!!. If anyone is thinking of getting one of these they will be very pleased with it. Looks shit hot and a vast improvement over the stock cap. Cheerz Simon H

... and this time it was mine ... Between Saturday afternoon and Sunday 2am, some little sh*ts egged the car in our private car park. As I was leaving to go to work (at 2am ... as you do ...) I only noticed one egg on the rear window and because it was dark thought it had been a sick bird crapping on the car. However, when I got back at about 9am it was obvious that there was a massive dent in the rear hatch as well as chips out of the rear window. Anyone know the best sort to get that don't require me emptying Fort Knox in order to purchase? What's the rough cost of these? Any "better" makes / brands or ones to avoid? Are Goodrich any good? Cheers. Anita.

Ok read the other post. Had clicking calipers when applying brakes. Changed pads, copper greased and cleaned shims. Seemed ok at first now creaking and clunking noise. Have had Energy Suspension front tie bushes done about 3 months ago but the noise is really peeving me off. Any suggestions please...thanks

why I bought a Zed. Had her out for a drive on Saturday as I hadn't driven her for a while. We decided to go to Milton Keynes...on the way back, England had just finished triumphing over Denmark and the roads were pretty clear. So why is it, then, that an Audi tried to hitch a lift in my boot?? Anyway, every time I accelerated, I left him standing, but would then come up against a car in front and have to slow down again.
