Do i need to get new brake pads from Nissan or does anyone know of another source i.e. cheaper/quicker. Uprated pads would be prefered, but i understand from Demon Tweeks that EBG do not do any for NA Z. ------------------ ray

I have been inspired to clean my engine bay, the trouple is it's covered in laquer and dust / crap. I've looked at the Autoglym website which suggests covering all electrics with Clingfilm, cleaning it with their engine cleaner stuff, rinsing it with water then coating it with their rubber cleaner. I did clean the engine on my 200sx once, it din't run right for about 6 weeks after and so am reluctant to try on my 300. Has anyone got any good advice on products / methods to ensure I can do this easily / safely, or am I asking for trouble. Thanks in advance. Herman

Hi All, I went to one of these 'wash street' type automatic car washes - the ones that drag you along and smack your mirrors all over the place.... Half way through I felt a bump and the drivers seat, in which I was sitting, bumped up from the right hand side a good cm or more (I was too surprised and didn't have a ruler to measure exactly anyway). It was a split second thing but I'd like to know what the hell that was all about - can anybody enlighten me??? Needless to say I won't ever be cleaning my car again :-( Cheers!! RobH PS. Heard you re selling your boost controller if so which is it and how much?

first of all does this sound ok with you tech guys? ive been out in the car testing out my new boost gauge and boost controller. i set my controller to 0.60 and run the car my new gauge said 10 psi. i then set the high boost to 1.0 and run the car it hit 14 psi now for the guys interested in stock figures 14 psi stock was 10 psi on new gauge on 14 psi on the new gauge the stock was just stuck at 14 psi well this proved this proved to me how shit the stock gauge is!

does anyone know how to work out a rough BHP figure using a 1/4 mile time and your cars weight, or whatever? anyone? for example 14.4 and 1800kgs. and 95mph, or something like that. ben.

I've discovered I have an K&N Induction kit, so why does it not sound like I have one? The cone filter was really dirty and the second mesh piece is just as bad. I'm now really confused, I'm also confused how a Nissan Garage missed this and a specialist missed it too??

I dont really know how much my ZX is worth now its a different shape but can anyone give me an idea and is anyone possibly interested in buying it for spares or repair, or would i be better breaking it for spares. Basically it needs a new front end it had a dead centre front impact approx 15mph. Damage is bumper, light panel, air filter squashed, oil rad leaking bonnet creased 1 wing moved back 2mm both lights are good. As far as i can see there is no major structual damage, wings are fine they aren't dented. Slam panel a funny shape, and its insurance wise un-economical repair. Whats it worth and does anyone want to buy it? Its a 1990 TT Jap import with 67,000…

Right lads I wan't to put my car on the rides section, but I don't have a digital camera. So I look on ebay and there are 375 of the buggers from £1 to £1500. Now all I know about them is the higher the pixels the better the image(correct?) I only want to spend about £100 so i'm not looking for the world. Has anyone seen a good deal on ebay? Preferably a "buy it now" as I am want one now. I don't mind paying more if it is a special deal. any idears? Thanks Rick

Now I know they are the same thing, my question(s) is: I know they go on the intercooler outlet, where is that? I used (do I dare say this!) Max P (arghhhhhh) and looked at Mac's 300ZX. Now is that the blitz thing I can see or is that his induction kit? I don't think I want the noisey BOV, does it matter if it dumps to atmosphere or back into the system? Also, I removed the headlight middle panel and found a big K&N filter? Is this the 'normal' intake? Don't laugh too hard. Thanks

Hi Guys, The previous owner of me Z damaged the door mirror and glued it back like he bought a the National Glue stock and had to use it by the sell by date. Anyway peeled some of the glue away and the only bit that is broken is the black plastic section. That you screw into to get the mirror to attach to the plastic mount attached to the door. Its the bit that the mirror axis upon to fold back. I was wondering if I araldite this section back together what are the chances of it folding bsck again. When I pres the fold switch I can hear the motor whirring but no folding???? Mark

Hi Guys, Excuse my In Car Entertainment Naivity but I have never even fitted a stereo to a motor!! Many questions, on the convertible I have the original Jap radio and CD Changer. I have another CD changer and Radio from another car, the Cd Changer is a CDX 51 that I have to replace the original Sony one! My question is will the more modern one jump less and have better sound quality than original Sony issue. Secondly this CD changer has a seperate controll panel nothing to do with radio, would my new 2nd hand radio sony xr-c500rds still work with the old cd player.
