How do you remove the lower suspension arm & balljoint from the wheel hub???

The wheel hub doesn't come away from the ball joint as the nut above doesn't seem to come off even though it can be turned.....???Do you need a special tool?

Thanks in anticipation

Van the nut is turning the ball in the socket as well, so that is why the nut is not coming off .You can stop the ball turning by placing a trolley jack under the ball joint area and taking some weight of the car on it, this will lock the ball and then the nut will come off.

Cheers Jeff. How're you doing? Glad to see Zedworld is up and running m8. Keep up the good work.

Back to my problem....I'm trying to buy both front lower ball joints from Andy. The ball joints are attached to the lower suspension arms and wheel hubs at present and have been removed from a Z he (his machanic) has dismantled. However, I understand what needs to be done from your discription. Once the nut is undone, will it also allow the balljoint to be removed from the lower suspension arm-the ball joints are all that I need but have assumed that the ball joints cannot be separated from it.
