I'm stuck in the middle of a major problem on this one. Turbo Active reconditioned a pair of turbos for me.....basically just replaced the oil seals as far as I understand it. When refitted to the car there was clouds of oil smoke...the turbos appeared to be flooding with oil. Turbo Active said it couldn't be the turbo's...they reckoned it pointed to a problem with the 'breathing' of the engine. The Garage is insistent the the engine is fine and the turbos are at fault. I'm inclined to believe the garage as the engine has been well-maintained (57K on UK 1990 Auto) and was only showing the slightest bit of occassional oil smoke from one pipe. The thing is....if Turb…

At last I've found the source of the delicate aroma of perol that fills my Z every morning!! What's the spec. for the rubber fuel line between the fuel filter and the fuel rail. Is there any significance to the odd looking outer layer with all the holes and is itreally necessery to use those naff screw type fuel clips instead of jubilee clips

Here are a few pics of when DaveW and I met up today while I picked up his spoiler he was selling me. I used my dads new Digital Camera, which can take really high quality photos. Link below is to the smaller version of the pics. All of them the original size is the same as the pic bellow. HUGE! 2.5mb. The best quality pic is 17mb http://www.nissanzx.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/DaveW/index.htm Did you make it as far as the picture? Stuart

What do you do with your roof panels when you take them off? Risk it and leave them at home? or Take them with you? I'm concerned about the damage, both to car and panel, putting them in the boot. I use, both the boot cargo straps and a small blanket, but they still move about alot! I thought I read somewhere about 'covers' for them, if this is the case, who supplies them?

Hi guys, The Zed has developed a tiny pin-prick hole in one of the coolant hoses that lead to the heater matrix. It's the top most hose that is situated at the back of the engine block on the driver's side (just to the right of the brake servo). I've looked on FAST but can only find the part number for the metal assembly that the hose attaches itself onto. Does anyone have the correct part number for the rubber hose and also has anyone replaced these hoses recently - where did you get it from and for how much? Mucho thanks for your feedback. Cheers, Danny PS - Jap spec Zed, 1990 model

Hi, I've scoured the old posts but can't seem to find anyone thats had this problem. I got in my imported 300zx TT this morning and found I couldn't get into gear. There seems to be a fair amount of "easy travel" before the usual stiffness travel starts. I think the easy travel is doing nothing and then when is stiffens is only semi-engaging the clutch (not enough for gear change). Any ideas as to what may be causing this?? Any ideas/help will be hugely appreciated!! Nick PS uprated clutch fitted 10k ago, doesn't slip.
