Link below is to the smaller version of the pics. All of them the original size is the same as the pic bellow. HUGE! 2.5mb. The best quality pic is 17mb http://www.nissanzx.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/DaveW/index.htm Did you make it as far as the picture? Stuart

Could someone please tell me what needs to come out to get the starter motor out, or can it come out without moving anything? Reason I ask is clutch to be fitted soon, is it worth reconning it at same time, as have occassional starter motor starting problem. Many thanks Martin ------------------

What do you do with your roof panels when you take them off? Risk it and leave them at home? or Take them with you? I'm concerned about the damage, both to car and panel, putting them in the boot. I use, both the boot cargo straps and a small blanket, but they still move about alot! I thought I read somewhere about 'covers' for them, if this is the case, who supplies them?

Hi guys, The Zed has developed a tiny pin-prick hole in one of the coolant hoses that lead to the heater matrix. It's the top most hose that is situated at the back of the engine block on the driver's side (just to the right of the brake servo). I've looked on FAST but can only find the part number for the metal assembly that the hose attaches itself onto. Does anyone have the correct part number for the rubber hose and also has anyone replaced these hoses recently - where did you get it from and for how much? Mucho thanks for your feedback. Cheers, Danny PS - Jap spec Zed, 1990 model

Hi, I've scoured the old posts but can't seem to find anyone thats had this problem. I got in my imported 300zx TT this morning and found I couldn't get into gear. There seems to be a fair amount of "easy travel" before the usual stiffness travel starts. I think the easy travel is doing nothing and then when is stiffens is only semi-engaging the clutch (not enough for gear change). Any ideas as to what may be causing this?? Any ideas/help will be hugely appreciated!! Nick PS uprated clutch fitted 10k ago, doesn't slip.

You probably already knew this but Nissan Motor (GB) removed the charge for looking up parts. (My dealer didn't tho - I had to tell him!) Consequently and after a letter from their legal eagle, the site nissanmotorgb.co.uk is no more. *sigh* But there is one called http://www.nissanpartscharge.co.uk One of the letters from Nissan said "...and I hope this has demonstrated that Nissan is fully aware of its customer obligations." Make up your own mind... [This message has been edited by Gio (edited 10-06-2002).]

I recently brought a 300, and shortly after a snooper to assist me in finding the camera's, but as my 300 is an import, the lighter plug that comes with the snooper is bigger than the Japanese lighter socket. I have tried to get the panel off, but there is only 1 screw in the ashtray to remove and the panel is stuck under the stereo section to stop the panel being pulled out to access the lighter. Can someone help me please.

So I'm tootling along the road this morning on my way to work - doing about 40 in a 60 zone coz its a bit wet and just as I get to the offset junction - I am on the main road so they have to cross it - this prat in a axo decides to cut me up and the STOP to turn right - the ABS did its job well though enough to let me steer past him and into the field - bumping over a curb...BASTARD - he totally straight faced ahead without even acknolwedging I was in the bloody field coz he thought he could do it in one go and found he couldnt. Can you tell I'm pissed off? luckily no damage seems to have been done as it was just a curb and it wasnt high enough to hit the car.....I'll k…

Hi, perhaps someone can help me out here. I've just bought a 300zx TT auto & when I rev the engine in neutral, there seems to be quite a bit of vibration in the car. I'm thinking possibly knackered engine or gearbox mounts because when I put my hand on the engine, I can't feel any vibration at all. I could be wrong of course. Has anyone had similar problems. Also, the car seems to have very little power. If one of the turbos was knackered, how high would the boost gauge read? because at the moment, it reads about 4-5 on full power. Cheers guys. PS. I only paid £1750 for it so I might just break the thing yet!

My 300zx tt went into terminal meltdown mode a couple of months back, seems that the turbo(s) went south and unfortunately took the engine with them..... long story and guess what the warranty was not worth the paper it was written on. The repair bill resembled the Argentina national debt so it was time to part company with the Z. Despite all that I have to be honest and day that I miss the car (not so much the performance more the looks ), I'd like to buy another but the perceived fragility of the engine/turbos worries me so I'm considering an auto non turbo version but would really like to know what the other main differences there are, or just point me in the ri…

Seems to be playing up. Sometimes have to wiggle gear leaver in park or neutral to get the starter to work. Is it accessable through the car, if so how, or do you have to go underneath?
