  1. Yes, I put them in and thought "... and let there be light!" and there was ... had standard ones with bacofoil conversion before and they were dimmer than David Beckham .. now they're as bright as good ole Albert himself ... I think they're superb (if you hadn't guessed already) CheerZ, JB. :D

Seems to me they can't make up their fooking minds  I'd been with them about 4 years, and then when I got the current Z, they decided they wouldn't cover it 'cos I had an induction kit FFS ... they claimed it would make it more liable to be stolen .. How? I replied, you can't see it 'til you've broken in .. I did complain about this, but they didn't want to know .. so nuts to 'em .. :D Don't you just love it when two different enquiries get two different repsonses from the same insurer, but it seems to happen a lot - more top UK customer service. :(
  3. LOL - when I re-read my post, I did think "will some bugger pick up on this" - should have known, shouldn't I? tee-hee. :D
  4. Yeah, yeah Ryan, well it seems that my views on this tend to be opposed to the majority of the forum, but I like 'em, and I'm not gonna be swayed :D ... Hehe, quite like Paul's windies too, as it goes! ;) CheerZ, JB.
  5. Blimey! It comes to something when a bloke with window tints like David Hasselhof's Ray-bans moans about something as suave, sophisticated and classy as some under-car lighting!! :D :xxx: :D:D
  6. Steve, me ole china, would love to, but I'm hoping to be up in Durham collecting my own beloved Z32, and I think I'll be too late on the way home to stop off at the NEC. :D Hope it all goes well, though, nonetheless, and I hope it pulls in more interest than the 350 on the *other* stand! :D Typical! Manage to convince Mrs John-boy of the virtues of a visit last year, and there's only a Z31 on the stand .. :( Nevermind. CheerZ, JB.
  7. Well, I've already stated my views on these ... if the final product is embarassing/tacky/childish etc. then they can always come off, can't they? In the meantime, bathe in my glow, suckers!! :D:D:D I do draw the line at washer jets etc, though - honest! :)

Glynn, I was insured with them ... I've got mixed feelings. Some things to consider though. Give me a bell if you want to discuss, I'm in all evening. CheerZ, JB. :D

Hello mate, and welcome to the site ... :D Glad to see you're pleased with your new purchase; you gotta love 'em really - got any pics? What colour? Auto/Manual? As for your questions: 1. You boost gauge is a Japanese or J-Spec one, so rather than measuring to 14 psi, it measures in mm/HG, or to 1 bar roughly. All J-Spec boost gauges are marked like this. 2. Oil pressure gauge (Which are notoriously unreliable) tend to run at somewhere around the middle whilst driving (so 4-ish) and a little less at idle (say, 1-2) 3/4 Suggest you spend some time perusing help and advice, the regular things come up quite often ;) 5. Yes, we tend to have and Essex/Kent meet about once a month/ once every two months - keep an eye on the meetings forum. HTH, JB. :D
  10. Adam, had demand for this sought-after colour outstripped supply again? ;):( What colour did you have to compromise on? Or is it a closely guarded secret?? :D:D
  11. Yeah, where is Jimbo? Perhaps the lure of all those big men in grass skirts has proven overwhelming, and he's staying on in Hawaii .. :D:D Pete, don't tell me you boys have had a tiff :(
  12. LOL - I'm standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Stu on this one ... I too am intending to fit neons!! :D:D:D I too, don't care what anyone else says, especially my immediate family, who think I've gone completely mad, and have begun an *early* mid-life crisis (no comments please). But, I'm sorry - the first time I saw TFTF I loved those 3 hondas with the green neons .. looked cool to me, as does the skyline in 2F2F! ;) You know it does, high-horse merchants! :D:D I also won't be driving round my local high street with them on, cos I don't drive round and round my local high street at night now, they will be reserved for "special" occassions. Each to his/her own, is my credo, and if they are fitted and do look Shit, then feel free to take the p*ss then!! BTW, I am and always have been fully supportive of Zeds in Max Power :) CheerZ, JB. (expecting hail of rotting fruit ;))
  13.  Can't wait to see it Fas!!! It's always exciting to see the result when someone's doing something new, and this one sounds like it might be a bit special :D:D CheerZ, JB.
  14. Hmmm, Brotherhood Of Supras? :D:D
  15. oooOOOooo .. Handbag!  Never forget your father's brother! ;)
  16. It was more of a general reference about Anti-Jap snobbery as it goes .. but I think he certainly *was* one of the leading protagonists, never quite sure what he's gonna say next! However, despite this particular strain of ignorance, he is still a personal hero of mine - not so much on an automotive front, but I certainly share a lot of his views on non car-related issues, such as political correctness etc, and I think he's a brilliant writer. I have many a good laugh at his collected writings from the Sunday Times that I've got a book of. At the end of the day, he's an intellegent guy, and he makes me laugh! :D CheerZ, JB.
  17. Perleease! Have you met these chimp-like characters? :D:D Frightening  (Z's aren't bad though, I'll admit ;))
  18. YAY!!! Congratulations Gio .... nice to see her back in one piece!! (Personally, I'd have thought you'd take the opportunity to have her painted black, but there's no accounting for taste, is there?) Have a merry re-union on your way over to La Belle France :) CheerZ, JB.

Bugger :(, That's a shame, Tim - don't tell me it's the combined strain of a Z and Trevor depleting both natural and financial resources :D:D See you in the Spring! :D CheerZ, JB.
  20. I'm definitely voting yes .. for all the reasons I outlined in the last thread, and it would seem, I wasn't the only one who thought along those lines. As far as I'm concerned - 1. I couldn't agree more - "no publicity is bad publicity" (don't worry about the obituary part :D 2. I'd like to show Mr Carworx, that we're not all so highly strung as feeling it necessary to slice and dice his ass, when he arrived with what seems to me, the best of intentions ... regardless of the publication involved. Acting in this manner is the best way to miss out on future opporunities IMO. Let's lighten up a bit! As I've said before, I don't want to be part of a club that's elitist and bigotted .... that doesn't mean I don't have a good laugh when I see a Nova with 16 exhaust pipes on, however :D What's wrong with neons anyhow? ;)

LOL - I doubt it ... there'll be a bit premature, as Nissan seem to be dragging out the delivery for as long as possible at the moment ... seems like we must have done something to offend them in the past in the UK ... I agree with mr triple-x, though, it seems like there's another up for sale each time I log in ... don't worry though, Steve, I'm definitely hanging on to mine!! :D:D:D

Alastair, I'm sure that if I'm wrong the auto-boys will sythe me down, but I don't think this is a problem on UK cars, since they already have an uprate oil cooler over J-spec cars of a similar vintage. Also, if you've got a 1990 on a J plate, something's gone wrong, as it should be '91 or '92 ... Welcome aboard, by the way! :D CheerZ, JB.
  23. Agreed Mike, and believe me, I have no wish to take part in any of these shenanigans. However, if Max Power want to formally arrange shooting a feature with our cars, surely, we just invite them along to one of our own meets ... If they want to wheel along some totty to drape on the cars for the photos, then so much the better!:p If they want pictures of people doing burnouts, then we can just let them have a copy of Pete's Avatar - lol :D We didn't let carworx tell us what they had in mind though, before blowing him up with the heavy sarcasm artillery, did we? ;) CheerZ, JB.
  24. F*ckers!!! Poxy police state - George Orwell was only about 20 years out IMO ... time to emigrate. :(
  25. Stu, I can't really comment on the latter part of your post, that needs someone with far more expertise/knowledge than me :D. But, I can't believe that by doing zorst, induction and de-cat, you could realistically expect up to 60 bhp over standard. IMO, from what I've read, I'd be surprised if you'd liberate more than another 20 with all this done, taking power to approx 300bhp. I do however, think that another 70 with the right fuelling and boost increase should be achievable. There, that's a start ... ;) CheerZ, JB.
