Can anyone tell me what the crack is with these washers you get with the rear HICAS arms? They aren't normal washers, and the original arms don't have them, where do they go? Guys, any reason why I cannot leave off the expansion tank? I have already buggered up my original one, and now thanks to Vods have a replacement.:clap: But due to the size of the new IC's it's still a pig to get into the space without it fouling on the tyre.

After picking my new car up and driving 300 miles back home with it, last nite I had to go and pick my other car up from the airport. Just got onto the m4 when something didn't sound right with the car, seconds later what felt like a blowout happened. Managing to control it, I got from middle lane doing about 60mph onto the hard shoulder. The problem was obvious, no wheel nuts on the back wheel. Could anybody explain in simple terms the pro's and con's of switching to Q45 throttle chambers/bodies from Z32 TT type I've been offered 2 x Q45's at a decent price but am curious to see what the benefit would be. Aren't the Q45 slightly bigger (supposedly 90mm'ish?) and are they a direct one for one replacement? cheers

Right, so looks like im getting blow back from piston ring failure by the sounds of it, but would of though that oil in the intake wouldn't make it down as far as the turbos pipes exiting from the turbo, due to the high flow of air coming from the intercooler? or am i just looking at a PCV valve change? Basically there is a lot of oil in the lower set of turbo pipes, and also in the ones going to the throttle bodies. no doubt the reason its smoking from idle and when rev'ed. with the balance bar removed, there is like a nice puddle of oil sitting in the plenum. am i looking at replacing the piston rings? or could it be due to the PCV valves. timing is al…

Starting off with the throttle cover, i sanded down and smoothed the raised letters and will be replaced with these chrome Nissan letters, i havent stuck them on yet they are just sat on top, i need to do another couple of coats of laquer first. Also im placing a mirrored acrylic strip along the normal black or red strip found on covers. Everything is just placed…

does the Auto engine have diffrent Turbos fitted to the manual one ? as been talking to some chip tuner and there saying difffrent things about the power ratings and turbos .. auto 280hp manual 300hp is it down to the timing/boost/fuel to be diffrent on power ?

Right, finally got some diagnostic software running on the Zed. Using Scan tech nissan, i ran a cylinder test, when it shut off cylinder six there was no noticeable difference, ive got some spare coil packs so when the weather clears a bit, ill try one of them to see if it sorts out the problem. wiring loom is new so don't have to worry about any corrosion on that side of things. But it does still have a S1 PTU As for the timing issue, i set the timing back to 15 BTDC, with a noticeable change in idle revs, they dropped to around 650 and the idle seemed rougher, which leads me to believe that the ECU has advanced the timing 10 degrees to compensate for the…

Gonna respray my scuttle panels - theyre in pretty good nick but starting to fade slightly, after rubbing down I got some Plastikote spray, (got some undercoat too). However.... I have black and the original colour is a dark grey. Do you think the black will look or or just make everything too black, I sorta think it needs the grey to break things up I cant find any grey plastikote at local merchants but can prob source somewhere.

right thought id do some maintenance today, striped all the intake hoses back, replaced the cracked ones and refitted, also replaced the ptu with a known good one, and same with the maf, then cleaned the connectors on the rad temp sensor, and the tps. put it all back together and now she turns over but wont start!!! really confused, i then changed the ptu and maf back to the originals still no start... she turns over, but not starting, and their is fuel pressure. help!!!!1

I am aware there is a difference between series 1 and 2 cars, are their other variants too ? I have a JDM series 4 I believe (95) can I straight swap clocks from a series 2 UK or is it all different connectors/fittings ?

as you face the rear of the car my drivers side inner bulb keeps blowing. i recently recommissioned the issue as i realise only the outer bulbs where lighting up the inners on closer inspection, one was blown teh other cut to stop the brake light lighting up. im assuming this was for mot or whateer as they couldnt be bothered to fix the problem so they hid it. id rather like to fix the issue. im assuming its an earth falut? anyone else ever had this issue? it may last a few days then pop. back on three bulbs. even with all the bulbs in the lights warning display comes up on the dash.... any suggestions?

can it be done and is it easier to do with the box out the way? got a turbo change and auto to manual conversion coming up, i will most likely just take the engine out to change the turbos, but can it be done with the engine in the car if the gear box is removed? as you would, i assume, get more access to the turbos.

I've had my zed for two years now and covered 7000 miles in that time. The thing is since I've owned it there's been a strange bottom end knock. When I first purchased the car I took it straight to zed world for a service. Jamie told me the bottom end was knocking but that was two years ago and 7000 miles later. The knock is no worse and the knock goes away as soon as I start putting my foot down. The knock is more noticeable at low speed then goes away at faster speed. I was told by Jamie at zed world that my car would only probely last a 1000 miles max. But it's still going strong could it be anything else this strange knock??? Hello everyone, I've got hold of a good engine from a manual ZX. Mine is an auto with the big end gone bad. So have been considering all different options I have to get mine back on the road asap. Can a manual engine be fitted to an auto ZX?? I'm sure I read a while ago about a pin sorta thing that would needed for this to work. But can't find the thread about this being done. As some of you know my car is currently in the body shop for a respray, unfortunatly the painter has broken my black trim that sits above the lights accross the back of the car. I purchased it origanally from the usa but cannot remember where exactly, & I cant seem to find one for sale anywhere... Any ideas??
