does the Auto engine have diffrent Turbos fitted to the manual one ?

as been talking to some chip tuner and there saying difffrent things about the power ratings and turbos ..

auto 280hp

manual 300hp

is it down to the timing/boost/fuel to be diffrent on power ?

I believe that those power stats are correct, and i also am led to believe that the auto has slightly smaller turbos so as to reduce lag.

Do a quick search bud as i'm sure that this subject has come up before.

I am sure that somone with more knowledge than me will be along soon to correct or confirm.

Yep a million times, in short the auto turbo's have a lower A/R to spool slightly quicker. The cams are marginly different for quicker power delivery.

The end result was to make the manual and auto 0-60 time as close as possible.

BHP is virtually identicle.

Auto Camshafts - 240 degree intake cams & 248 degree exhaust cams

Manual Camshafts - 248 degree intake cams & 248 degree exhaust cams

Auto Turbos - A/R = 0.54

Manual Turbos - A/R = 0.63

"Official" Figures for the Jap/UK spec :

276 for Manual

263 for Auto

(300/280 is for the U.S Market)

They key to searching is to use as little words as possible, and only words that will definatly be in the context of your search.

The search goes through all text in a post, not just the title.
