Right, I have clearly overfileld my engine, I added a load of oil stableiser in with the existing oil and also some wynnes lifter treatment a few days later, only to find that my oil level is way too high, and this has shown itself on the oil pressure guage as well ( i know they are inaccurate, but its the first time it has gone over halfway) I was driving home from the golf club the other day (bout a 10mile round trip)and the car cut out on me!!!! stopped, pulled over and started her up again and she was fine. I took her home and left her in the garage all week. However yesterday i was jumpstarting a mates car using the zed 9as she hasn't been out since) and h…

Silverstone are running their own open track days and have 2 planned on the International Circuit. (which is the old Southern circuit with newly built/refurbished pit & paddock areas. Supposed to be pretty nice. ) Saturday June 18th Friday July 15th £299 per car & Driver. £60 for an additional Driver. price includes Breakfast/Lunch and around 7 hours of open track in an open pit lane format. There will be up to 40 cars there on the day. 20 minutes of Driver training goes for £20. I know sounds pretty pricey, but it's Silverstone... I'm fairly limited as my Car is Trailer-only / SORN now... so as it's close, I'm there. I've posted this on …

i did and guess what it ate me alive, im sure had we both taken off at teh same time rather than him shooting offa nd me trying to catch up it may well of been slightly coler run, but damn they move! i do however think from that little experiment that a lightly modded 300 running around the 380 bhp range could keep up if not over take in a straight line, as although i never gained on him i also didnt disappear into the rear veiw mirror. quite surpruised how well an 21 year old auto kept up with a 50k supercar. he still had me though, obviously this was a lovely track session, and much more fun was had. :D

Bit of advise on this one please folks. Just bought a manual conversion to fit my 1996 TT but the current auto radiator is busted at the top and is beyond repair, so what's my options ? Will I now need to replace both the auto radiator and oil cooler ? Or is the oil cooler just for the auto? Ill be wanting to get an uprated radiator when I fit the conversion so rather do that stick in another auto radiator from a breaker. What's the cleanest route if replacing the autobox and radiators ? Cheers folks.

respray & colour change in progress with kit being fitted, not going to reveal any details, you need to wait a few weeks to see the finished article :winkiss: However, anything I should be doing at the same time? I already have new window and roof trims as well as new scuttle panels. All glass is out too...

It's taken a few months to fit, but finally a fluxx capacitor has been fitted that allows my zed to go back in time, and fly  . Oh wait a min :dots: .. no its just on some axle stands. Zed is undergoing some minor repairs. new front wings and door, new discs, and possibly refurb the wheels while they're off!

Living in the land of sugar beets, there is plenty of material around for brewing alcohol and as its not for drinking, the ethanol (and other alcohols which brew) is fairly easy and safe to do - just don't smoke. my question is, running this in a zed. I know about various seals dissolving etc but could a conversion be made to the engine and obviously timings to cater for higher alcohol, either mixed in the fuel or directly injected. I understand that LPG can run, albeit with the issue of the engine leaning out much early but can be overcome with custom ecu's and dynamic mappings. I also am aware, that the fire service does not carry equipment for high tempera…
