well im in the middle of removing my AIV carbon Canister and the PVRP thingy but im stuck. when removing the passagner side AIV it say the bottom fuel vapour pipe below the boost pipes goes to the cross bar however mine does not it comes from here: and goes to here just under the TPS And the cross bar where it is meant to go goes to a solid pipe (at end of screw driver) now do i just blank off the pipe in the secound photo and leave the pipe in 3rd photo as it is if that makes sense???? thanks

As above, does anyone in the area have conzult? I could really do with checking out the car as she's got a running issue with a bit of hesitation. Beer tokens, tea and bacon sarnies waiting for anyone who can help me out. Cheers Pabs

I fitted my wheels the other day, and quickly discovered caliper clearance issues on the front :( I hastily popped to halfrauds for some 5mm spacers so I could at least get the old wheels off and new (too me) on, but even so clearance is tight ... maybe too tight ? I got a cutlery knife in order to check clearance, and a set of verniers on the knife blade tells me I have 1.5mm minimum. Am I right in thinking this is not enough ?

I got my guy to make me up some of these, it is exactly the same as I have on the rear but made for the inside of glass :cool3: Again in silver to match the car, would really really like the EL 300ZX lit up panel that goes here but practically impossible to get hold of  so these will have to do I will probably lose the alarm sticker from here as this will clean up the area better :winkiss:

well going to start on my feet template to mount the 99spec, was just wondering if there is any one with a proper 99spec that can get some measurements for me of where the spoiler goes on properly, dont want to end up putting it on and its not central or wonkey.

Mr Parcel man just dropped this off at my work :tt1: Well impressed, feel like fitting it tonight although need a few things done to go par and par with it ! I've got a polished plenum on my NA that i tried to fit but for some reason it just wouldn't sit flush and it caused so many leaks all round. Hopefully this one will fit better or i'm back to the drawing board. Big thanks to big_jim for giving this to me at a bargain price !

Question was, with larger turbos, will the 15psi duty rate of injectors still be allplicable. ie can you run biig turbos at 15 psi safely. or will boost need to be lowered. as turbos flow more air, and therefor 15 psi becomes lean. AMMENDED; for future referance.

Hi guys, Longtime fan of these cars, and a major Jap import fan (owned several Supras, Celicas some Mazdas over the years) but first time poster. As per the title really, looking to buy a budget 300ZX to use as a daily driver for a bit. Live in Chiswick, which is fairly central London and commute up the M1 to Watford, so preferably an auto. Ive seen what appear to be very clean cars for not much more than £1k. Looking at N/As as I believe them to be generally less trouble/ maintenance than turbos (Supra experience talking there!). Also like the idea of the targa roof panels. How reliable are the cars in general if were being totally honest? There are some ha…

Working towards getting a manual conversion done next month so starting to gather together all the bits needed ! first off my radiator was busted at the top end as the plastic hose connection became brittle and broke off causing a bad leak so decided to get a new one and while I'm at it also an uprated oil cooler to go with. First bits bought turned up today : As a few of you know I've a fair bit of bling in my engine bay so not wanting to break from tradition I'll be needing a new chromed balance bar as the one that's currently on is for the auto and is missing the connection bit at the left. So who's up for a trade, not be needi…

What have people done with the oem gearbox mounts when they fitted the Japspeed decats? Reason I ask is that they are missing the mounts completely. Being about an inch or so above them :confused1:

Bah, things been running too smoothly lately - then boom!! Driving back from work at 30, I put the foot down a little to progress slowly to 40, but it gives 2 small judders then carries on. I notice then the speedo has dropped to 0 and isn't working (though all the other guages are working fine). Then I notice that every time I get above a guestimate 50mph the PAS stops working (then continues to not work once below 50mph, but starts again when the car is turned off/on. This suggests to me it's an electrical fault, but it's anybodys guess as to what it could be. Thankfully, I'm hoping anybody happens to be reading this :D

Ok as the question was asked I thought it may be of use to show how to check and if required reset the balance on your throttle butterflys. When we do ConZult checks and set up this is by far the most common issue we see, in fact at JAE 2009 we logged that of all the zeds we checked more than 70% required this adjusting, in part I think it is due the adjuster been mistaken for the base idle adjust which of course is at the rear of the engine but unfortunately wrongly adjusting the throttles will raise the idle tickover so you can see how the mistake can be made. So to start off you will need a small screw driver and a pair of pliars or similar, the engine can be…

Have had some problems with my car today which is typical as its a nice day here  Basically I went for a drive today and the car was running fine and then I noticed it was a bit hesistant when I stopped for junctions etc. Just as you press the pedal the revs seemed to drop for like a split second and then fine again. Anyway thought I would come home and investigate and then it would't start again. Just turning over on the starter but not firing  checked connections, maf and no warning lights etc and everything seems fine. Its started now but doesn't sound right like its missing. Any ideas??? Its a non turbo auto

Hey Guys, Weird but when i was driving around town being a hot day etc and so was going around without the roof :). However for some reason i could feel hot air coming through the gaps near were the trims join the middle dash. (fans were all off) It felt like engine heat was coming through into the interior. Is that normal? or what might be causing it. I felt like being grilled alive in the car!!!
