I'm new to the ZX300 although I've had one - bought Feb. 2008, drove 43 miles in it, garaged ever since due to illness - for over 3 years. I bought it cheap on Ebay because the boot spoiler had rotted away. I also suspect it's been clocked because the leather seat is well-worn but it's showing 55000 k's on the clock. Anyway, it's passed it's last 2 MoT's no problem and now I'm better, I'm starting the refurbishment process. To start, can anyone tell me the best place to get a new boot spoiler. Thanks. dicey.

not something im wanting to do or anything, just curious, can you sit in neutral and lift the revs then select d to get a bit of a launch? or is that a quick way to kill the box?

General question, but whats the minimum height i need to get the car in the air to be able to get the engine and gearbox out by dropping the front sub frame. Thinking of doing it this way this time to save time and also gain the experience from doing it in this manner. I've always taken the gearbox off first and then the engine. and although i find it better when working on my own. id really like to attempt my engine and gearbox change by dropping the front sub frame so i can attach the gearbox to the engine while its out and lower it in, in one go to save the hassle of trying to raise a gearbox off the floor and mount it with the engine.

Hi All, I'm looking at buying Sky89's NA 300zx. Had a look last night, it's a great car but does need some work doing to it. The main thing at the moment is that it needs a new cambelt. I'm looking for recommendations for a decent mechanic to do this for me, along with general servicing. I live near Chelmsford in Essex. Would appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction. Cheers, Colin

Does anyone know where I can get a decent fitting car cover for the z, one that wont flap about in the wind too. My last one used to be half off the car when I got home after work Another question: If I bought a koyo rad, do I need a certain one or do I have to buy a seperate uprated oil cooler as I have an auto?

Hey Guys, Well dunno what it is but going in my z recently feels like being in a roll cage lol (maybe the theifs abused it dunno). Its a really a bad ride currently and sometimes in london if i go on bad roads, i can almost hear a ding in the front suspensions. Would it be worth changing it over without another pair of standard suspension? I am looking for a bit more comfort in riding the car!

  16. hey guys, my car makes a jingling type noise which seems to be coming from the OSR corner of the car as i go over bumps and potholes etc. when i did my last oil change i saw my clutch hose hanger dangling, and it made the exact noise i was looking for when i banged it against the underside of the car. Great i thought and cable tied the pipe to keep it tied up, and did away with the hanger. but to my disappointment the noise is still there. ive had a good look underneath and cant find anything. does anyone have any suggestions? its pretty loud when driving, but i cant make it do it on the jacks :-(

... I've just fitted a BOV I got from Vodkashots, bloody massive thing it is too. So in looking for where I should hook up the extra long bit of vacuum hose that came with it (I would rather plug up the older rubber hose and use the silicon stuff that came with the BOV) I was searching the forum and came up against this phrase of "goose honk". Is this the sound that is very similar to someone blowing into the end of a metal tube at an angle, which occurs when you're just about to come on boost? Also, is this the fault of the re-circs? Is it because I have an aftermarket twin induction system? Whats actually happening to cause it, and will it go away now I have my new…
