  1. I was wondering if anyone has done this, surely a good velcro will hold it in and also it gives the option of a spoiler at a later date without snapping it getting it out. Mark

last nite i pressed the fob button to turn alarm/central locking on, turned away and seconds later the alarm starts blaring. after it finally stopped, it went off again, this went on for about 15 mins before finnaly stopping and i could lock it with the key. i know its not the fob because that still turns the immobisier off, it blew the indicator fuse which i replaced but now i get nothing from the fob when i try and turn the alarm on. ive checked every fuse in both boxes and all are good. all this happened after doing a oil change just in case that did anything? any ideas wecome

Got the dreaded steering wheel shake, removed the 5mm spacers, fitted new antiroll bar bushes front and rear, new drop links front and rear, new steering rack bushes, and fitted some hubcentric rings and replaced the rubber bush on the steering shaft with the metal replacement. Well what a difference to the way the car handles now very responsive and no more wheel shake. Not a very expensive job but a bit af a PITA. Did this last week but only now has the swelling gone down on my fingers and the skin on my hands and knuckles grown back LOL, but a job well done.

Hi Guys, fingers crossed my car is nearly ready. I had a stalling issue previously. I had tried a few things myself and failed so it went to the garage. Then found out gearbox was not great auto. So replaced with a reconditioned unit and has plenty of power now. Hopefully I can enjoy her over the weekend. Now to my original question, Are parts available for these vehicles New? Or is it always at the breakers yard and Ebay. Mine is an import. Do america make new parts for these as there car scene is much bigger than ours. I know service parts are available but say you want an Idle control valve... Can you get them new? I don't need them yet. What about…

Hi, I completely bodged my door and dash trims a couple of years ago with a kit from Leatherseats.com. So I now want it done properly. Can anyone recommend a good Car Trimmer in East Surrey/West Kent that does a good job and is reasonable in cost, please? Cheers Pilch

I currently have 225/45/17 which are lame as i get hardly any grip. I am looking to change it to 245/45/17. Would there be any problems with the speedo, i tried using some calculators and they say its about 2.8% difference. http://www.alloywheels.com/tyrecalc.asp What do you guys think?

  20. had a N/A front bumper and an older gentleman driving it i believe :) Seen this Morning at around 8'o'clock on the way to work. Driving first in front of it then next to it. :)

  21. As above really, got the chance of one, I reckon at a not bad price. 3.0, 24v, 205 PS, big luxo-barg for the motorway. Just fancy something different. Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.

  22. Started by Big Rod,

Hi, My driver's door drops a few mm when opened and resultantly has 'chaffed' a gouge out of the 'B' pillar. Can I loosen the top hinge where it bolts to the 'A' pillar and knock it forward a little bit to adjust without too much grief? By grief I mean having to remove wings or any other ancilliary parts. Or can/should the hinge pins be replaced? TIA.

Only noticed it this morning, hasn't done it before. Only comes on when I apply the brakes. What could this be? It doesn't happen all the time when I brake. Doesn't seem to have any effect on the cars behaviour at all.

quite alot of us with this sill problem as a number of threads popped up smithys sounds the best to me as this looks an expensive job from main dealers,i know if when removed the problem could be even worse and pricey all depends on your budget i suppose and many of us dont have the luxury of z specalists garages near by.

Just a rough head count so ill know whether to bother or not,I make an sell a small batch run of repair panels for various classics now and again.Zed rear sills are no prob.
