  3. Hi everyone, Not really posted anything of my zed yet so before the long slog of work begins i thought i'd take some pics so when u all get a chance to see her you can see how far she's come. Low milage but a bit tatty when i bought her, cheap enought to take on though. So far timing belt 100k kit, upgraded the ptu, ironed out a little list of fault codes, replaced missing trim, replaced some pannels and sprayed roof, brakes too. MOT monday, i'm sure there will b something else they tell me about but hopefully not much, they also replacing the centre bearing and exhaust for me befor i tackle the rest. I'll update with more photos as i go but i want this…

As per a previous post I thought the new Z was a little slow but the boost gauge doesn't work and sits at -14 all the time. Fitted an aftermarket gauge this weekend and took it for a spin. The gauge only reads 0.4 bar so not full boost. I've had the car on conzult a few weeks ago and there were no error codes, are we talking a boost leak here? On a plus note fitted the stereo so at least I have some tunes in the car :walkman:

Anyone know where i can buy the trim between the window and the door for less than £68 per side, as mine are starting to show the metal strip and looks a bit dated. .... when I took my rear bumper off! :death: Also, this is what has happened to the metal bars that go all the way round the bumper under the top rim to hold it to the car! So, in order to put my bumper back on properly, has anyone got the big bar accross the back spare? And does anyone have these rails/bars to actually attach the bumper to the car?

  12. My mate has borrowed a Snap-On visual inspection device from his work and left it with me for the weekend! I am checking the internal condition of my TT engine before it goes into my car, it had an intermittant misfire before so wanted to make sure nothing major was wrong. The back two spark plugs weren't very tight at all, and I need to compare the plugs to charts I've seen before to identify any wear. When using this borescope, what sort of things am I looking for? I also have this spare engine sat in the garage that is apparently 'forged' - what markings/writing do the standard pistons have on the top and what sort of thing would an uprated one …

I would just like to say thank you to Daz for the TT bumper he gave to me, and for his hospitality whilst we were at his house to pick it up. Daz, your 300's are a credit to you buddy, stunning mate, Yvonne and I spoke of nothing else on the way home, she is well impressed mate, sorry she talks so much though!!! Thanks again mate, a real credit to the Forum.

I wanted to put a poll up but dont know how :-( Also, which is the more desirable version? Or is there nothing in it?? Reason I ask is my dad reckons I am making a mistake putting a JDM rear bumper on my UK car as people will assume it is just a grey import... What do you think? BTW my dad has nothing against imports as he used to have a JDM GTO but just reckons UK`s are more sought after...

  18. HI OK I just got hold of a 300ZX TT This is my second one, I had the first for 30 months until I had a bit of an 'incident' in it :hammer: The other one had a lot of body customisation - this one is more standard but has some engine mods OK so this one has amongst other things an HKS EVC boost controller that were not on my first one, plus some other upgrades I believe. Now when I bought it the guy said the boost controller and dump valves were not working (said his kids had messed with the settings on the HKS box at the weekend while he as valetting the car) Seeing as the car sounded and felt just as good as my first, and seemed if anything to…

Hi all, I want to replace the 3 (6 in totall) rubber mounts on my TT rear hubs so i have then managed to replace every bush. The problem im finding is that to replace them 6 bushes i need to buy a complete rear end kit that im in no need of. Is there anyone that would want to buy the remaining 12 bushes for the rear of their Zed? This is the kit im looking at http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=247&category_id=63&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7 Luke charges £8 quid for delivery :confused1: How about £50 quid delivered for the rest of the bushes?
