as you face the rear of the car my drivers side inner bulb keeps blowing. i recently recommissioned the issue as i realise only the outer bulbs where lighting up the inners on closer inspection, one was blown teh other cut to stop the brake light lighting up. im assuming this was for mot or whateer as they couldnt be bothered to fix the problem so they hid it. id rather like to fix the issue. im assuming its an earth falut? anyone else ever had this issue? it may last a few days then pop. back on three bulbs. even with all the bulbs in the lights warning display comes up on the dash.... any suggestions?

can it be done and is it easier to do with the box out the way? got a turbo change and auto to manual conversion coming up, i will most likely just take the engine out to change the turbos, but can it be done with the engine in the car if the gear box is removed? as you would, i assume, get more access to the turbos.

I've had my zed for two years now and covered 7000 miles in that time. The thing is since I've owned it there's been a strange bottom end knock. When I first purchased the car I took it straight to zed world for a service. Jamie told me the bottom end was knocking but that was two years ago and 7000 miles later. The knock is no worse and the knock goes away as soon as I start putting my foot down. The knock is more noticeable at low speed then goes away at faster speed. I was told by Jamie at zed world that my car would only probely last a 1000 miles max. But it's still going strong could it be anything else this strange knock??? I would be grateful for anybodys help. …

Hello everyone, I've got hold of a good engine from a manual ZX. Mine is an auto with the big end gone bad. So have been considering all different options I have to get mine back on the road asap. Can a manual engine be fitted to an auto ZX?? I'm sure I read a while ago about a pin sorta thing that would needed for this to work. But can't find the thread about this being done. Waiting for your professional advices on this one guys..:) What to do for a manual engine to work in an auto car?? Best regards, Zee..:)

As some of you know my car is currently in the body shop for a respray, unfortunatly the painter has broken my black trim that sits above the lights accross the back of the car. I purchased it origanally from the usa but cannot remember where exactly, & I cant seem to find one for sale anywhere... Any ideas??

with fully adjustable sus all round and cheap tyres lol sus five years old and maybe at its stiffest would this cause ass end to bounce as if back end to tight?

After twenty two months off the road :ohmy: my Zed is once more on the road :clap::clap: I took it off the road in July 2009, as it was going to fail the MOT on excess corrosion - holes in the floor and rotten sills :no: I've had to open up the sills on both sides (front to rear), cut out the rust (outer and inner sills) plus some of the floor and fabricate/buy new panels. The rear arches, both inner and outer, needed replaced. The area around the fuel filler was completely shot, so that all needed cut out and replaced. The rear lower quarters were also rotten and required replacing and then a couple of small holes in the front inner wing and the rear panel …

Can anybody inform me what bhp the bottom end will go up to before changing pistons. How much for forged engine bits and head?

This started a couple of days ago, and is doing my head in. Until I turn the stereo up anyway. The noise is like a whiring coming through the little vents behind the map reading lights in the car. Any ideas chaps?? :helpsmilie:

cheapest i could find insurance for my new zed was admiral multicar 1000 for the zed and 600 for the lexus so took it. phoned footman james today and got the zed on a classic for 256! result well happy so cancelled my admiral as its within 14 days :rockon:

sorry about a what's it worth post I'm pritty happy with my 300 at the moment but have been offered a 300zx turbo targa top full leather in pritty good nick with 136k on the clock runs spot on has no tax and failed the mot on drop links it's grey has a patch welded on the seal and front right wing is rippled I would only buy it to sell on how much would I expect to sell it for ? is there anyway i can just get brighter bulbs?, or do i have to get a HID conversion?, i live in the sticks and nearly about killed myself with the standard lights, my phone torch nearly gives better brightness?

First time ive been able to say that since ive been on this forum! Ive had 5 zeds in this time, and not 1 has properly been on the road. Until now that is! Faster than i expected. I was expecting to be disapointed when i finally got on the road, ive built it up in my head for sooo long. Now im in a zed driving, im a happy man! Should be in the bodyshop this week making it look nicer too. Shall i go white???
