Was on the way home from taking my dad to hospital and just randomly lost the clutch! There have been no slipping issues with it at all up until now. When I got home I checked the booster reservoir and there is no fluid in it all and I can hear a distinct dripping of something onto the warm exhaust. Are there any common pipes or seals that go on the zed as I'm hoping that it may just be the case and not the fact that I need a new clutch :/ I will get out and get it up for a look when the weather clears up a bit as it terrential here just now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

  2. Hi Guys, Typical just my luck. I got the car delivered. When they delivered the car, Fuel light on. - Great. I put some petrol in it £20 quids worth to get me to a garage. On route I picked up the wife. Now it drove OKfor a while say 2 miles. I turned it off. and it stalls. Also I get at the start on the dash, POWER LIGHT flickers but goes out. So guys, any advice. I have contacted the dealer. He has said there was nothing wrong with it and he will get it sorted but he thinks its dirt as run low on petrol. He suggested fuel cleaner...? Over to the experts - engine sounds and pulls great when it goes. - The revs at present just drop causing it to st…

Called the garage this morning and the top coat they put on last night has reacted and cracked  so they have to start again. This means it won't be finished this morning or the wheels done this afternoon along with the water leak as planned. So bottom line is they finish the body today and wheels tomorrow but means I have tomorrow to refit the WHOLE interior and I mean every panel that had tweed on it and the seats, fit stereo, hoses, dump valves, strut brace, scuttle panels and fix the water leak assuming it's only a hose issue and nothing more serious? Not looking good for Saturday as I don't think I have enough time , so annoying I can't start unti…

An old friend of mine runs a local engineering shop, last year he bought a CNC machine and he's at the stage now where he can start looking around and trying to fill gaps in the market. Is there anything for our cars especially or any other vehicles that you'd like to see or you think would be good sellers, or anything thats usually only available in the states with no UK supplier? I've already mentioned PCD adapters and brake adapter kits allowing the fitment of bigger discs and they are no problem. Thinking caps on please guyZ

Well a car appeared on ebay a couple of weeks ago that I recognised... Its been parked down the road from my house ever since I moved in and it hasn't moved, not seen the owner or oat lol.. if you've been to my house believe me, you would have swerved around it as it was in the way lol. I always thought it was ugly but thought there was something about it, my mate and I often said it would be good with my spare TT engine in! Anyway someone keyed it down one side about 3 weeks ago, a week later it was gone and now its on ebay! turns out its a 3 litre single turbo, would make for an awesome transplant into a Z with its all alloy engine, all it needs is a big …

Installed my Brembo brakes from an R33 GTR today. Heres a pic of the brakes I got: The brake discs were free from wear but were badly pitted & corroded! The calipers were pretty flakey with the lacquer peeling off & looked a bit tatty - I made sure the pistons were all nice & free (they were!) & removed & cleaned the bleed nipples. Then flatted them off for painting with some high temp paint & lacquer. Heres one flatted off & one in base coat: And a couple of pics finished with the lacquer on: To do the swap remove the caliper by unbolting the 2 rear caliper bolts & remove the short stee…

Has anyone converted to a electric power steering pump on the Zed? Im in need of some ideas in what pump to use at the best size & price. I know the Saxo and many other Citroens, peogeots and Vauxhalls use them as well as the MR2 and BMW minis. I want to locate the pump where the battery normally sits. Does anybody have any ideas what pump would be best suited to fit in the location? As well as up to the job. I have deleted the hicas completly so im hoping any of the above will be powerful enough. Cheers Dan

After deciding there wasn't enough time to do the colour change before Japfest I decided to just get the bumpers done and the dent in the quarter panel as it was quicker. We it seems to have led to the the spoiler, which mean tailgate and the painter didn't like the other small dents near the petrol cap so the other quarter is done to!! :scared: Still have the water leak to fix, wheels to paint and the interior to fit in 2 1/2 days, aaargh!

Went to fit my fidanza flywheel today and found this broken-looking thing sat wonky in the hole in the middle :w00t: Is it the spigot bearing I've heard people mention? it is cracked but what does it do and does it 'need' changing? Also got a rear crank seal from smithy but didnt check into part numbers etc, where does it fit?! its not as big as the rear main seal I was expecting :( Meh might as well chuck everything on one thread lol, fished out my knock sensor to relocate it, but the body is cracked, is it worth changing or does the outer shell of it do naff all anyway? thankZ for any help!
