Anthonyd Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Called the garage this morning and the top coat they put on last night has reacted and cracked  so they have to start again. This means it won't be finished this morning or the wheels done this afternoon along with the water leak as planned. So bottom line is they finish the body today and wheels tomorrow but means I have tomorrow to refit the WHOLE interior and I mean every panel that had tweed on it and the seats, fit stereo, hoses, dump valves, strut brace, scuttle panels and fix the water leak assuming it's only a hose issue and nothing more serious? Not looking good for Saturday as I don't think I have enough time , so annoying I can't start until the paint is done. :headvswal Quote

takemetothepub Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Do what you can, get the seats in and mechanical stuff done, then start on the rest. Whats not done you can get help with at Japfest in the morning. I'm going this year with the camera Quote
Anthonyd Posted May 15, 2011 Author Posted May 15, 2011 Well the car made it to the show!!! Worked on it until 9.30pm and then started agian at 5.30am until leaving at 6.30. I didn't get everything fitted but was happy with how it looked. Drove over with one front tweed seat and then back home with 2 leather ones. We took the seats over in the boot of the Mazda and many thanks to Tubz who fitted them at the show while I was working on the stand. I'm now wondering whether to keep it grey now as well instead of going black??? Quote
