Does anyone know anyone that has a 'Cobra Imola S' FIA approved seat available ? Im after one to match my Drivers seat, it looks like this, and has to be the original design version : Does'nt have to be blue as apparantly you can get the blue panels to make it match still. Annoyingly I used to have a Matching pair, but sold the passenger one to replace it with a GT (wider width) version. But never got around to it, and now Cobra have brought out a new design that does not match my original. :crying: Been searching Ebay, Driftworks, Pistonheads and forums without luck. Bit of a long shot, but if anyone knows of one please let me know. If I c…

After loosing my job at the end of Feb it has become apparent i can no longer afford to run my zed. The fuel cost is too much and the £180 a month insurance is crippling :( I'll keep the zed off the road intill i find a new job, but my fears are, with a £200 a month loan repayment i will have to sell her if i dont get a job within the next 3 months :( Very sad times

Following on from Del's rust thread I thought I'd share some pictures of mine. Rust started appearing quite bad on the arches of my Z last year, thats the point where I decided to give it a quick fix up and a DIY respray to freshen it up for what would potentially be its final year. I'll be honest, I know they are known for sills rotting away, but I never really checked properly to see what my sills were doing, maybe because I didnt want to face the facts that they were probably hanging off  Anyway heres some pictures:- Final farewell to the complete white Z (february 1st) starting to look dilapidated lol http://i303.photobuc…

Ok I am going to put some TEIN SS on her in some weeks; but there is some doubts I have; first; how much height originally the Z had? I looked at some especifications and it states; 1255mm (1,25m) a friend of mine has his lowered to 1,19m and he sid it is really slammed like this; my question is...wich is the lowest I can slamm it without touching the floor and bumps on the road to make it look more slammed and aggresive?

Hi all, The Zed's brake master cylinder is leaking, not from the servo end, but from a small aperture which is set between the brake pipe outlets (facing the engine). There appears to be a small hole at the inner end of the opening and that is where the brake fluid is leaking from. Any ideas on what this opening is or what it's purpose is? :confused1: Is it repairable?:confused: Regards - Andy

Hi, right Iam keeping the Zed, my mate decided to buy something else and to be honest Iam happy:-) didnt really want to get rid anyway. Going to get the clutch sorted in the next couple of weeks then a guy is coing to look at my rear arches and sills, and what ever else needs doing, just abit worried about the cost of welding as I dont think it will cheap lol. Is going to take a little while to get it how I want it but it will be worth it. got the bumper of to get it up the ramps, which was a little **** so not looking forward to doing the clutch now lol. Is it worth decatting while up on the ramps or not dont want to blew the turbo seals and have…

Hi, I'm considering a good brake upgrade, I'd like to receive your experience about all the kit available. 1)Ap racing kit: the best probably, but too expensive. 2)Stopteck kit: perhaps one of the best, I'd like it, but it's expensive ($.2000) 3)K-sport/D2 racing 330-356 front, from uk seller: Tuv certified (in case of homologation like special car in Germany). about £849, fits on 17"-18". 4) Akebono kit front from CZP: it uses the same calipers of 370Z with 14" rotors, it seems pretty but I think the pads are the same (dimensions) of the OEM 300zx calipers, so I'm not sure about the convenience. $1200 front kit, fits on 18" with good clearance. 5) Custom ki…

Had a rare moment today where I was lost for words, a happy and relatively new zed owner turned up in the shop with a gift for us, I looked and initially thought it was a book, then after opening it up I saw it was much more... Reverse back around 6 weeks ago when the very same guy came in looking very down and also looking for some help. Having saved his hard earned cash for an age he secured a twin turbo zed from a dealer, having longed for a zed for years he had eventually got one...finally! Sadly within a few days the zed had a major fault and with a less than compliant dealer his dream was in tatters as he put it. We ac…

The whole vibration issue caused by the propshaft has been covered many times in varying degrees of depth and no need to go into it fully again, however had the opportunity to take a few pic`s of a unit today that explains a less known or discussed area of the bearing support issue. A short recap to begin, firstly failure of the proshaft bearing is really an inaccurate description as the steel bearing itself is not really the problem but the rubber donut shaped support section that houses the bearing. This rubber section when new is very compliant and allows the propshaft when spinning to find its own nature alignment of the front and back section by centrifug…

Right then, a few weeks ago i changed my dash because the other was peeling. On doing that i lost the wire to the rear fog light switch (one that has been put in). The switch still illuminates but the main wire to the bulb has gone LOL. Now thats not the main problem. The main problem is that when i now switch the main fog light on (the one on the cluster!) my dash, side and rear lights come on WTF is going on? Any ideas please before i start the dreaded strip down and test! cheers all!!
