Well, ive decided to not spend any more money on my zed. After all the work thats been done to it, and all that money, its no better off than when i first bought it! I do want a zed, but ive had enough. Hence me thinking to get an N/a. I know its not the same, but as i dont drive fast on the road anyway, it might make sence. Anybody gone from TT - NA? I could always rebuild my engine over time and do a TT conversion if i need the power..

Hi All, having some problems with a clutch! Just wondering if anyone has experienced similar or has any suggestions? My old clutch started slipping over xmas, so had a uprated one fitted from a very reputable garage, and in the knowledge that if i did get my car remapped for 350ish bhp it would be fine. I then had the ecu remapped three weeks ago, and the day after the clutch started slipping under full acceleration in 3rd, 4th and 5th. Its been back to the garage twice now... first was to have the pedal adjusted as it was thought that i was slightly depressing the clutch by resting my foot on it (?), which didnt solve it, and then the second time the clutch flu…

With the warmer weather we've been having, my car has only been boosting to about 10psi during the daytime, then when it the air cools down in the evening it boosts to 14psi as it should. Now I know that the turbos won't work so well in warmer air, but it's not a problem that I ever had during last summer. There used to be a minor difference when it was warm, but not so exaggerated as it is now. I'm wondering what could be causing it to lose so much pressure, boost leak? I figure if it was a boost leak then it wouldn't be reaching full boost when the air is cooler. Could it be a faulty sensor of some sort? Or are my turbos shagged?

  7. Hi everyone, Sorry for the lengthy post - I've recently got my zed back together after having it up in the air over the past few months undersealing, changing the prop, doing the belts etc. Got her back on the floor last weekend and tried to move it round the drive to find I couldn't engage any gears. Checked the clutch reservoir and it was low/empty so I put some fluid in and bled it through but still no clutch. The boot on the slave cylinder looks pretty damp inside so does mean this is the most likely culprit? I tried to check the master cylinder using a hose clamp on the flexi pipe to the slave cyliner and the pedal goes really firm so I dont think that's the pro…

Any tips or tricks on how to work on a 300zx engine and NOT break your back? :cool2:

  14. My mind is going a hundred miles an hour about my Slicky. It is actually keeping me awake. Do I sell it, get the manual conversion done (have all parts including gearbox, brand new clutch/flywheel/rad) etc, or have a 60/120 service carried out. Or go mad and have the conversion and full service along with one piece prop and lightened pulley? I'm not a wealthy man so this is a huge decision for me. I have spent an awful lot(to me) in the year I've owned the car and I'm at a bit of a crossroads. All well considered thoughts are most welcome when you wake/read this :sleeping:

Hi, can anyone advise what these flexi pipes are for? Should they be connected to anything? There is one on each side of my zed and only noticed them when I jacked the car up to do the 1st oil change since getting her. What a mess! :ohmy:The oil filter was leaking (for a while by the looks of things) and redecorated the underneath a lovely shade of brown!:scared: Off to get many cans of degreaser tomorrow. Lovely!!! The pipes are grey plastic and look very simular to washing machine drain hoses :confused1: http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n141/chris_fulgoni/Dscf0721.jpg http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n141/chris_fulgoni/Dscf0719-1.jpg http://i111.photobucket…

Trying to get the car ready for Japfest, all the bits I'm doing are going well. The problem is the paint, there is two weeks to go and it's not even at the painters yet!! Do I push him to get in done in 10 days as really wanted it done :confused1: Or get some Halfords tins and just paint the bumpers to match the bodywork until the proper paint with colour change???
