Morning Gents Had the car up on the jack at the weekend to replace the starter motor (cheers to Baz for coming to the rescue) and noticed the rear tyres have become somewhat slick Have been looking at prices of replacements. Don't want to spend a fortune as MOT is due very soon and I have a feeling that will zap some funds. I've spoken to Jeff about part worns and he's going to have a look what he has but also looking at new ones....prices below for 255/40/ZR17's...what would you buy? GT Champero £91.95 Marshall £95 Yokohama £113 Toyo £130 Conti-Sport £180 Many thanks Dave

Being an import I think my right 2 are fogs so it'll be just 2 for me. may get 4 though and get them fancy leds for fogs like someone else has done :)

After polishing the plenum and originally polished the cam covers, i felt it was too much and needed breaking up with some colour, so having some cans filled with the colour that the car will eventually be, i got to work and sprayed the covers and the balance bar. Still got the coil pack brackets and the cambelt covers to do yet and the throttle cover to tie it all together. Here are a couple of shots with the covers polished, as you can see, there is no definition: And painted: And got my japspeed manifolds fitted, although still have to get the drivers side O2 sensor hole moved:yes:

Where's the best play to get gray paint for the Z in an aerosol? Halfords list it as a mixed in store but I wouldn't trust them to mix up identical twins let alone paint! Ideally want a few tins for my bumpers.

I'm aware that if i change the centre bearing i need to mark up to make sure that on re assemblty the whole thing is still balanced...but if i change both, prop and bearing does that mean i'm gonna have to take it down my garage to have it balanced? I'm just wondering for the ease of the whole job, i'm not sure if my prop needs replacing but if it does i'd rather do whole lot at same time (i already have exhaust, cats, drift bar to do at same time) but if i need to get it balanced this will throw a spanner into things. Cheers for any advice

I've searched the forum and did find a thread about this, but then it went off topic about a V8 Capri without really answering the question... lol  I've looked at the engine diagram (http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=207420&postcount=1) but no hope there. So where is the valve to recharge the air con? :surrender: Cheers
