stupid question I know but want to make shore it's right how do you properly check the levels

losing the will to carry on with my zed.......i have changed the standard air filter for a Hks mushroom type one, now the blooxy thing struggles to fire up, has a huge flat spot when i first press the throttle and to top it all off whilst stuck in traffic today it cut out and refused to restart, what do i need to do now to get around this latest in a very very long list of issues .... thanks Neil sayers

Car went there today smoking and mis-firing all over the place. And now as if by magic she now runs great. My old man said on the way back home she was really smooth and the fuel consumption is better too, bonus! Not got the full list of what was wrong but I do know it had a couple of boost leaks. I need to take the doors off. I cant remove the wings as sideskirts moulded to wings. With the door open there looks to be enough room to get a socket in there. Worth a try? What im concerned about is I will get the doors off but not be able to put them back.

After lots of changing my mind about what brake setup to get I have finally got a good deal on a front Brembo set from a R33 GTR - paid £300 which I thought was fair :hyper: Discs are corroded but no real wear lip so should be able to skim those on my brake lathe at work. Just need some pads - any recommendations? Not doing track work just a good fast road pad needed.

afternoon guys. a quick question what would happen if i remove these two vacuum pipes from the carbon canister and blank them off at the intake pipe and the throttle body? the reason why im asking is that when i swapped my injectors im having a couple of running issues after i removed these vac pipes. when warm it can take a couple of turns of the engine to start, it will run rough for a few seconds then it seems to clear and run ok, (pointing me to a fuelling issue?) generally after a hard drive. as i havent done a complete carbon canister removal would this have caused the problems. i have been round the connectors and they all seem ok as i cl…

While im healing up cant do many jobs on the zed but thought id try some easy bits, so need to tint my rear centre panel to match the crystal lear rear lights, Hows best to tint them?? ive got some tinting spray but tbh its shite so was wondering if i should buy some tinting film or even a very light coat of black paint?? Ive got the led fogs and reverse lights installed so still want to be ab able to see them. Just want the centre panel to match a the rear lights a little better. any suggestions thanks Craig

wired up my el panels in the kick plates and under the footwells looks nice aint taken pics yet though,wanted to run all four off an led switch so could turn them off was having a mare as light on switch wouldnt work even with cont live feed so just went for normal setup after,may try again when got time.

Im hopeing to sell off a few of my spares i have for my suzuki sj and im hopping ill have around £300 to spend on my zed! I have done belt and service and all seems to be running well at the mo so what would you guys and girls buy for £300? PS I will be doing wheels and suspension when i sell my suzuki.

The car is off to Zedworld tomorrow, woo hoo. Hopefully Jeff can work his magic over it and the car will be working as it should do. Only problem is I won't be there with it, my old man has the joy of being there early in the morning as I'm in California !!!!!!!!!! If you see a blue JDM TT near there give him a wave as he will be leaving home about 5am ha ha. On the plus side for me I will be going to the Powertrix factory in San Diego to spend some money.

I'm after some ideas as to where the best place to install my blitz EBC valve doodah and run the piping from the tubs and actuators. Where/how have you installed yours?

Hi, right going to get the clutch out this weekend to see the state of it, I have got the car up already on car ramps, question is will the car be higher enough to drop the box? This could be expensive! Was driving to work as normal, but went to accelerate onto a roundabout and something went bang... and then made a grinding noise for a second or two and the engine cut out and wouldnt start again - although the starter motor wasnt doing anything, so not necessarily that bad a sign. Pulled over, and my first thought was snapped propshaft, or maybe a shafted diff... however, quick look under the car and nothing appears to be hanging off, but there was now an oil leak from the engine. In the 45 mins it took for RAC to come, it leaked all the oil out :( its with a garage now awaiting diagnostics, but anyone any ideas? There was no smok…

My brakes are squeaking really bad at the moment. Been getting progressively worse over the last month. The pads have only covered 3000 miles but were nothing special as was stuck at short notice when getting them done. I'd ordered a set for a z31!! Will fitting new pads cure this or is it something more sinister?

I have a U.K. 300zxtt. The autobox is on the way out. Must it be replaced with a UK autobox or will an import box do? Is there any difference?

As always, some of the best deals on ebay aren't even listed in the right place! I was looking for rear lights and spotted a tiny part of a spoiler on the car which I had a hunkering was the bomex aero type 2 I was going to buy for 700 quid 2 months ago. I emailed the guy and asked if he'd sell up and if so, how much he wanted, he said 50 bucks!!! I was like, I'll take it, and ended up sending him 80 pounds. Then got a pic of the below - it's the right one.. Utterly delighted, check it out - it's 'winging' its way up to me now :wub:

Was a bit gutted that my car barely stroked even with a boosted up Sapphire Cossie the other week, so fancy upping the anti a little. Im running stock block, turbos, intercoolers, injectors, boost jets (0.9mm and no idea of the boost level tbh, but I can feel the turbos loosing puff around 6k revs). Car feels fast but I wouldnt mind a bit more response and a bit more top end grunt. I havent seen any 700 quid HKS GT2530 kits around for a while (mores the pity) so what can I do on a relative budget? Was thinking EBC set to 17psi (though who knows that could be a little less than I'm currently running, maybe a bit more) but can't see that making a big difference. …

Trying to work out how much of a drop my car has had. I have measured from the ground to the top of the arch and my measurements are; Front 645mm Rear 635mm So is there anyone running standard wheels, tyres, suspension that could take the same measurement for me please? :cool3: Interested for my own records but also to assist another thread. It looks like I may need some ... I don't want anything flash, or to pay a fortune, but obviously want them to be safe ! The wheel nut "tunnel" is 28mm diameter, if that is relevant ? Any recommendations or link to known good ones would be appreciated :)
