how easy are these to take off and any tips on how to get them looking good again

So went to get a new tyre valve fitted (as it was leaking) and also get my tracking done as she's pulling to the left... So off to National Tyres and Autocare who I've used many times in the past. First the guy couldn't disarm the alarm / immobiliser to start the car, so ok...I go out and explain this and he starts the engine and drives in. About 5 - 10 mins later the guy explains he cant get the wheel off, as they don't have a socket small enough to fit around the nut (which is fair enough, as the space around the nut is simply too small to fit normal sockets in, but this IS a garage!), so I give him a socket I borrowed from my dad, perhaps the only socket…

Are these available and will the 6x9 go in the rear position ?

Im really chuffed, a mate of a mate works in a bodyshop and does private cars on a weekend for himself, he is a perfectionist and does some top work. If i buy the paint, which he will get trade anyway, he will spray the car, in 2k in a booth and baked for £400 :clap::clap: cheap? hell yeah. I couldnt buy all the stuff to do it for that price and certainly wouldnt have a booth to do it in, so the finish would have been no where near what i would want. Im going to have a meet in the next week or so to go over the car with a fine toothcomb, but cant wait. Im thinking of getting it done the first week in August, which gives me time to get the new engine and box in…

I used to have a TT (auto) and I found it pretty impractical for living in London. I only really got the turbo happening properly on straight motorway type roads and the car always felt like it wanted to 'go' more round town which I found frustrating if I'm honest. I know there is a big difference in power but is the N/A still a 'good drive' and fun?

Need a little help, when de installing the AVCR from one of my brakers ages ago i managed to pull the wires out of one of the plugs going to the boost solonoid, Ive got the full fitting instructions from twinturbo.net but im trying to rpair the plug to the solonoid but the wiring colours are different on each side of the plug, Could anyone whos got one fitted and can access the plug just confirm what goes to what please see pic below im pretty sure its yellow to pink Brown to Black blue to white thanks Craig

Ok been looking at some wheels 17">18" can the same sized wheel be used on Front and Rear ? and does any one know what the Rear and Front off Set it i do know the Stud is 114x5 but the other not sure Thanks Mark

Had my slickie and black shorty in for MOT last weekend Slickie passed first time ( i changed a steering gaiter the day before as i saw it was split) Black shorty failed on steering gaiter split :lol: fitted the new one today and that now 2 MOT passes in one week :) Either i have a good garage or thats good preventative maint personally i think it is both :)

stupid question I know but want to make shore it's right how do you properly check the levels

losing the will to carry on with my zed.......i have changed the standard air filter for a Hks mushroom type one, now the blooxy thing struggles to fire up, has a huge flat spot when i first press the throttle and to top it all off whilst stuck in traffic today it cut out and refused to restart, what do i need to do now to get around this latest in a very very long list of issues .... thanks Neil sayers

Car went there today smoking and mis-firing all over the place. And now as if by magic she now runs great. My old man said on the way back home she was really smooth and the fuel consumption is better too, bonus! Not got the full list of what was wrong but I do know it had a couple of boost leaks. More importantly it was my Dads first experience of the 300ZX community and what a great one to have, he met a few of you guys there he said and has nothing but good things to say about the whole day. anyone in scotland up for givving me a hand doing this during the week iv built a new hinged floor in the boot just need help with the speaker sub and amp enclosure.also iv got my materials for retrimming most of the parts i can do myself just not sure how to do the door cards cheers in advance

I need to take the doors off. I cant remove the wings as sideskirts moulded to wings. With the door open there looks to be enough room to get a socket in there. Worth a try? What im concerned about is I will get the doors off but not be able to put them back.
