Its something that bugged me for a while, I've driven past loads of 350z's when I've been out in my 300zx, they dont flash, wave, nod or even acknowledge as I'd expect them to. Do they not understand the heritage and previous history to how their car came about? :2guns:

I think they are the kind of people who buy the 350/370 z so they can just have a "new sports car"

They don't care for the car in the way us "old" Zed owners do. we show each other mutual respect on the road for our rides. :)

Sadly most of these people are not real "Z" owners. For them it's just a sports car. A real Z owner/lover will always acknowledge another Z, even if it's with a friendly/knowing smile.

I often look in my mirror and notice rather sad and envious looks from these drivers too. I suppose it's only to be expected, jealousy is not a good look.

I used to get a thumbs up from a 350z girl driver when we passed each other quite a few times, she now owns a new Lexus and still gives me the thumb, she deffo knows her cars, fit aswell, :tt1:

In a wierd way, when I pass a 350z coming the other way, I feel the `better man` and more privaliged, if that makes sense :alucard:

Yeah there is a **** at my old work place with a 350Z, used to follow me home at night, right on my bumper, one night I decided to wait til the next set of lights and just blast away from them, he never followed me that closely again! In contrast to that, the other week I pulled up at Halfrauds and some bloke in a Vectra pulled up next to me and said something along the lines of "I just got my Z a few weeks ago, didn't want to pull it out of the garage today", so after talking to him for 5, he drops it, "Yeah mines a limited edition 350 Z, I waited ages to get the right one".

Really made me smile that he was more interested in the heritage of the car and had bought the 350 more as a mark of pride than "just another sports car".

when i had my red zed (the one big_jims got now) i met a 350z owner, then proptly left him  then i let him past and followed, only to get out and talk to him, where he then went "what the bloody hell you done to it, mines modified and i couldnt keep up", i just let him know that as standard the TT 300zx beats the 350 anyway

Surely the v6 is the Nissan engine as used in various Renault?...I always wanted a v6 avantime as it didn't have a Renault engine so less to go wrong....I used to really dislike the 350z but its grown on me. Definitely a car I'd consider in the future...

Yeh, it is a Nissan engine. People just like to joke about it.

350z has never interested me. Quite like the 370z though.

You lot really boil my piss sometimes. I don't think you could get more up yourselves even if you wanted to and I cannot believe how attitudes have changed over the years. I suppose BMW drivers are all cnuts as well and don't know anything about anything. You had better get rid of the M3 Stellaz.

I own a 350 and I have owned a 300. I always wanted a 300 from being a teenager but could never afford it. If I had space on my drive I would get another 300 or maybe get a 370 instead, anyway it's only another sports car isn't it.

Well I wouldn't mind having a 350 or 370 look OK to me and to be fair I think they run nice too. There's a guy at AME with a 420z pushing out 700 rwhp and I bet he could give all 32's a run for their money.
