Baz Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 This isn't a 'do you like my centre console' thread. I know you wont, but its the best way I can get everything fitted in. :tt2: I'm after some ideas of how to mount these bits in the console - Can I use body filler to fill the old roller adjuster holes for the vents (obviously need painting up afterwards?) but then I'll have the gaps around the gauge and controller. Or should I get some carbon fibre sheet/perspex etc and cut perfect size holes in for them and attach this to the console? Just after some advice as I've never attacked something like this before LOL :scared: so thanks for any input. Quote
Yowser Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Use Fibreglass filler (p40) to fill holes, then smooth with Bodyfiller (P38) Quote
mantav8 Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 TBH Baz,that's awkward to fill,I would make a panel to mount the guages in and flush that to the console....... Quote
Baz Posted May 19, 2011 Author Posted May 19, 2011 Thanks for the input guys, I was thinking making a custom panel and attaching this would be the best solution. Watch this space! :thumbup1: Quote
Remus Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Funny  I was in the car the weekend wandering where the hell im going to put the multichecker. Only place I liked was in the radio cubby hole but the damn wire is in the way and I don't want to remove everything again. Quote
Baz Posted May 19, 2011 Author Posted May 19, 2011 Well unfortunately I have a DVD screen and a seperate player taking up both slots so quite limited with where I can put stuff :( Quote
GIBSTER-TT Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Ive done a similar jap using P40 and then a bit of filler. After using plastic primer and black spray it looked great. Quote
