I test drove a 300TT on saturday, after a 30 min drive with the air con on full I got out and coulld see water dripping below the enginne. The water was cold to touch and tasted of only water. Is this condensation from the air con unit??????

After a with an air gunned security nut (involving me losing my rag with it) I snapped a wheel stud. I have done this before ( I know , once is a mistake, twice is stupid) and the stud was pressed through the back of the hub, does anyone know if its the same on the zed. It was pissing down and the car was up[ on the jack, so I didnt take the time to look too closely? Any help appreciated Cheers Jock

Anyone in need of a right wing mirror, in working order with all the wiring etc... The reason I have it is, because I've just bought my second Z and the guy I bought it from, had ordered one wing mirror from a breaker and they sent him two. It's black, though can obviously be painted. I'm saving for an in-car DVD, so every little bit of extra cash helps!!!! Will accept the highest offer... Cheers.

Got a bit of a problem which i'm worried about. Got a jap 91 N/A Auto which i repaired the heater matrix on and have been driving. For some stupid reason i let my mate drive me home from a club as i was drunk and it was wet. going round a bend it slid out and one side knocked into a kerb. Front and back wheel on the passenger side knocked into the kerb. After that the tracking was obviously out so it didn't drive straight but this was the only problem at the time. Driving back a week later along the m25 and every time i went over a slight bump it felt like the back wheel swung me left or right slightly as if i had the 4 wheel steering but i dont. Can you over tighten/tension the aux belts?? Ive tesioned them all so you can give em half a twist, but im sure theyre making more noise than before, not a worrying noise just sounds very windy under there, or will the quieten down in a bit or am i being paranoid again?

Does anyone know what mods I'd need to do to a US engine wiring loom to make it fit my Jap 300zxTT? Obviously i'd like to get one from courtesy because of the price. Has anyone replaced the loom with the engine in the car? Cheers in advance. Ben.

Just got the Z back from SE yesterday and it's running great. New ICE fitted and working well - life couldn't be much better! Then... Backing out of the garage today and I've caught a dustbin (left out by my neighbour!) between the rear wing and the wall of the house! No major damage to the paint, but I now have a visible indent in the rear wing above the rear wheel arch! :mad: :mad: :mad: Anyone know how I can get "inside" the rear wing to pop it out again. I assume that I need to go through the boot to get to it... Any help appreciated! Cheerz Steve

Is the part number for these 30210-40P05 and 30100-45P10. Is this correct?

Not a major prob but annoying. When pressing the clutch pedal it squeaks any thoughts. Its a hydraulic system so where is the squeak coming from.

Well well, what a surprise, my current run of bad luck is continuing with the nissan.... Those of you that know me, know that I havent had any luck with it since day 1 and its cost me 000's so far. Well, Option have fitted the new turbos but they now smoke like a bast*rd, both of them!!!!! They are having the car on tuesday to inspect whts gone wrong!!!!!!! Now, the turbos must have been faulty as the car has been running at 0.6psi as I wanted to run the car in, so I havent over stressed them, I've only done 600miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can anyone tell me what bulbs fit a UK headlamp?? I think the projector beam is H3 but what's the full beam? The reason I ask is 'cos I bought some off Ebay and they no where near:confused: The supplier said they'ed fit but they don't they are 9005 and 9006 whatever that is......:rolleyes: So I need to let him konw what type they are.... cheers..... ps anyone have a spare wallet with user manual forsale?:rolleyes:

when the boost needle gets to 0 ... a bit above i can hear like a ticking noise... it is boost related as rpm does not influence this it seems to be comming from the drivers side ... u can hear it quite well. is the gauge air fed like the gt turbos ? possible a hole in this pipe.. or a faulty gauge baked bean can for finding leak ???? how ? cheers scottieeeee.....

Does anyone know what the MAF sensor check should read with the engine off? I'm trying to find if my MAF is u/s.

OK I'm not yet a Z owner but looking to be. What can I expect to pay for insurance with full no-claims, age 40+ doing say 15k per year fully comp. Just looking for ball park ideas as to what is good and what is daft. Any companies people can recommend would be appreciated too. I took the Z out today for a drive to B&Q, drove home no problems at a normal speed 60-70 on 'A' Road....... Pulled up at home, unloaded Z (few plants!) and switched her off, went inside and the next door neighbour knocked the door and told me my car was leaking!?!? I went outside to see the Z had dumped some coolant on the road on the passenger side about 12 inches from the front and about 6 inches from wheel arch, looked more than there was but it looked a lot!! :rolleyes: It stopped and then I waited for it to cool down and checked the radiator which seemed to be full enough, I started the Z back up and let it run for 5-7 minutes and watched the are…

Ok, searched for a while now and found lots of possibilities but here's my problem... On the last 2 hot days I've driven the zed the pass side exhausts have been blowing blue smoke intermittantly. At one stage the there was loads of the kak, and today when I was stationary and opened the throttle to see the effect on the smoke, the driv side exhaust backfired! :eek: Today on the way to Santa Pod, in the morning the car felt sluggish and wouldn't boost fully, at some points it felt lumpy like a cylinder wasn't firing. Heres a question. I have been offered NOS for my zed. 10lb stainless bottle, twin intake misters, 100bhp needles,all the hosing, switches, valves etc. Fitted to my NA for the princely sum of £900. The price is not an issue. I thought about selling my NA and buying a TT, but would prefer to have the driveability of the NA 90 % of the time and the power of the turbo for the odd traffic light GP, A-road dash etc. So what do you think? My concerns are Reliability Would I want need a traction control (could u use TC with NOS?) Any advice opinion welcome

Personally I cant see why you shouldn't, but I know very little about them. I ask as today having a little fun on a dual carrage way, I floored, and at about 5,000-5,500 RPM I could hear a loud blowing/hissing noise. Is this the wastegate releasing the extra air? It could be a turbo leak but I know I have a very small one at the back but I could only just hear it when I had 8PSI in the engine, but I cant see it making that much noise that I can hear it over the engine and wind noise. Any ideas what it could be? Stuart

Hi all, Just wondering how far up the stick do you all fill her up with oil, in my subaru and evo i used to put fill it to about half way on the stick between top and bottom. I was advised this by a scooby specialist. Its got something to do with boost. Just wondering how much oil are we supposed to put in. I was told it was 4.4 litres. Ray

Hi Guys First post here and I appreciate the knowledge on this furom. I have recently bought a uk 94 300zxtt in pretty excellent condition apart from the fact that the previous owner smoked cigars inside the car with all the windows up and the aircon on. I have got a "wynns" aircon deoderiser from halfords and have to spray it into the aircon intake, which the instructions say are usually arround the footwell. Having spent ages upside down in the foot well I have given up on where the intake lives. Can anyone help? Cheers ........Ady

Top off today, bastard squeak louder it seems to be just inside engine bay drivers side, not bonnet catch tried that last hot day,anyone had similar, thanx guys

Is there anyone local (Derby) that can professionally clean my engine bay? It's minging!!! I understand you can't steam clean them, unless you take it for a proper long run immediately after, so it's obviously going to be a hand and cloth job. I'd do it myself but I can't be arsed... Guys, As some of you know the car had been off the road for a fair few months. Well option came to the rescue after £4000....... They now advise that I get all the injector plugs renewed and the wiring traced back to check for cracks etc but its gonna cost about £450 all in. Now, the plugs only cost £6 each but I really cant afford another £500 at the moment, I aint rich and I dont pertend to be but if they say it needs doing then I guess it wise!!! They way that he showed me it need doing was to move one of the injectors very slightly with his finger and the the car started missing, touch wood! its been fine since but I really would like to get thes…

I know its not a 300zx but i've just fitted a z32 maf to my 200sx, i've changed the settings on my safc and the idle has gone to shite and the cars over fueling. Does anyone know what could be wrong?
