Whenever I come to a halt quickly, usually traffic lights, or slow down quickly for a turing my Zed tends to stall if I don't dip the clutch at the last minute. It will also stall blipping the throtle to over 3k and letting off. the revs just keep dropping :( Now I've gone through the archive's and figured that it's the TPS. Soaked it in WD40 yesterday and it sorted the problem temporarily until it dried. Got some solvent cleaner today and attacked it with a toothbrush (did the CAS too :D ) but although it's made it better it's still happening. Opinions please? Did I do a sh*t job of cleaning it - it's not green anymore, or do I need to whack some copper …

Anyone know of the best place to get these? I did get one with the black Zed, but am looking for a spare. Can you get full sets from Nissan if you quote them a specific number...and if so, where do you get this number? There's nothing written on the titanium key that I already have. Looked on Ebay and Courtesy but nothing doing on there and I really don't want that NISMO thing.... Any idle-flears?

Smokey Exhaust --------------------- I enquired a few weeks back regarding the smoking from my exhaust and the likely problem was the breather hoses needed replacing. A couple of things: 1) Apparently these were replaced when the engine/turbos were reconditioned/replaced just over a year ago. 2) The smoke only comes from the left 2x exhausts (facing the rear of the car). The blue smoke varies in intensity and it usually occurs more after startup or idle... 3) I was told by the company (APi) to check the state of the air filter as this is the likely problem. Apparently if they're blocked or in desperate need of replacement they can create a vacuu…

Finally after days of struugling, and undoing every bolt on the damn car ive got that blinkin crankshaft pulley off, i can now set about changing the waterpump!!!! Hoooray. After removing the pump, it seems there is very little wrong with the pump itself, just that the seal seams to have gone around the bottom of it. But now im this far in its getting changed anyway!!! along with the stat, and hoses. Now i understand why its not cheap to get this sort of thing done at garages. Hey everyone. Well, my `91 TT is now in the country :D hopefully going to be ready for collection in two (maybe three) weeks. Previous owner already fitted a sports exhaust system, lowered it, added 17s and a rear strut brace and since joining this forum I`ve aquired a JWT chip (cheers John if you`re reading this! ;) ), the Blitz Sonic Power induction kit is on order and now waiting till next month to sort out a HKS EVC V unit. The speedo dial in my j-spec only goes up to 110mph but the dials advertised by the Z Centre go up to 190mph.. Are my dials reading correctly, and why the difference?

Well folks, Just wanted to share today's little scare with you and hopefully pass on some information that may help some of you in the future. Now we all know what happens when our battery goes flat. What are the side effects of running rich? Could it bizzarly cause my big power loss at 5000+rpm? I do get black exhausts very quick (not smoke just the metal surface) and near to 10mpg on my daily 8-9mile journeys. Also is there anyway of adjusting a/f ratio at WOT? ..Also does a JWT have pretty much stock fuel maps at stock boost?

I am now paranoid about my water pump :( I parked up in Sainbury's car park after doing some spirited driving and went in to Sainburys for about 10 minutes. When I got back to the car I noticed the small puddle running away from under the nose of the car. "Oh well I though, If I worried about the car everytime I parked on someones elses puddle of oil and water that I didn't notice when I left the car I would be in a looney bin by now!" Guys, car is now finally running sweet as a nut thanks to Option Motorsport and £4000!!! Anyway, my rear speakers flap more time per second than a hummingbird, I need to replace them but there an oval shape??? Does anyone know where I cna get my hands on a set of these speakers? Or where I can get some replacement ones??? TA.;)

Anyone ever got the auto box diag to work? I've been through it 7 times now following the instructions I found on zedworld, and I've also found identical instructions elsewhere, so I'm sure the instructions are correct, but it don't seem to work. The A/T check light comes on for two seconds, so it ain't that, but it just doesn't flash once I've gone through the combinations of gear settings and overdrive settings. Hi i was driving my zed on monday,i had to pop to see family,i stopped out side got out of my zed locked it visited family for say an hour got back in my zed and it would not fire up!...it turned over but would not fire.....i repeatedly tryed to start it over and over when it started but ran very rough and idled at approx 1800 rpm and would not drop....i drove home and it was hessitant and and seemed to be a lot of dead spots through out the revs expecially when i tried to accelorate....zed was just powerless... like you were running out of fuel but there was quarter of a tank... i got it home and gave her a few revs and noticed heavy black smoke pouring out of the ex…

Anyone else found that their brakes seem to work better if you give a light push on the pedal before you brake properly. I'm guessing that this is just normal pad knock back, but seems worse since fitting GTR stuff (bigger pistons, so more fluid to push out?). Was going to buy some residual pressure valves to try out - anyone else noticed this or tried the valves? CheerZ

I noticed a gurgling sound from f/near side - can be heard from inside car. I did a search and found same question from keith with a reply directing to TwinTurbo Net - AIV cleaning/rebuild. Does this really hlp - seems alot of work. Will any harm happen if left as it is? Geoff.

I only got my car back Friday night (wehay!!!)... Sorry to bring up the topic of insurance yet again. I just paid about £1500 on Z insurance, if i were to sell it within the next month would i be able to get any back? I always used to pay insurance monthly and thus would just stop the payments when i sold the car but would an insurance company actually send a cheque back?? Just seems hard to imagine.

My clutch is on its way out and I just bought a Jim Wolf Technology uprated disc on its own for cheap (ebay), would I be able to use a new standard release bearing and plate or would I have to buy a Jim Wolf Technology one and does anyone know the best place to get one ? Cheers, Olly. (olly300zx)

I was checking inside my inner wing as i've a problem with my Clutch booster... There appears to be a box that has a filter in it. I took this apart and it was soaked in dirty oil!!! What is this, should i replace the filter, could this be the cause of the Clutch problem (goes stiff)? Dan
